Yes also surely the CEO handles negotiations with Mitchel with updates to Howe.
-
I think Eales will go on to do well for us, however he’s also collectively responsible for getting this window completely wrong which could have huge ramifications for the club this season and moving forwards.
-
😂we’ve been properly had
-
No new RW, no new CB, Dubravka still back up. Fuck me 😂🤦♂️
-
All looks so desperate doesn’t it
-
I agree with you, I’ve already stated how shite this window has been multiple times. The club will have looked at what’s available already rightly or wrongly.
-
She’s a fucking idiot
-
Which is possibly one reason why they’ve looked at things and thought they have Burn, Schar, Kelly and Krafth and have Botman and Lascelles coming back. Whether you agree with that or not.
-
I think this is key. The club has stated clearly they won’t overpay on targets (otherwise you end up like Man U paying exorbitant fees). The issue is leaving us short at the back.

Lascelles played on the right last season from memory
-
Left. On a slightly different note we are at some point gping to have to play two left footers at CB.
-
Agreed, it’s possible to say how rubbish this window has been and question why but surely be aware how much better off we are since the takeover and know that the people running the club WANT to push on and achieve things. That was completely absent under Ashley.

I think they can switch sides, either way Barnes surely has to start on Sunday with Gordon and Isak -
When the club as taken over I envisaged exciting windows where we looked to bring in absolute quality each window but not on a ridiculous, unrealistic level. We’ve obviously made some great signings since the takeover but PSR has totally fucked us really and I think there needs to be a degree of realism moving forwards. We see hamstrung by regulations that perfectly suit the top 6 and makes it very hard for anyone else to progress. I don’t think the club realised how difficult things would be for them. That said it’s still possible to feel extremely deflated by this window. Whatever the reason is (and Howe has alluded to them in his interview) if you’d told me a few years ago we wouldn’t be signing a single bonafide starting 11 player this window I’d have been shocked and bemused.

Barnes right is infinitely better than Murphy or Almiron starting. -
I completely forgot about the City match
-
And therefore probably why his stance against us has been so determined.

Parrish is probably banking on a bidding war next summer and the money they’ll get from finishing higher up the league offsetting being in the final year of his contract.
