I agree, Wilson’s time here is up at the end of the season but he’ll score some crucial goals between now and end of the season if he stays fit . A player like Mbuemo makes sense because even though he’d cost a whack he can cover both positions so it’s kind of a 2 for 1. That said I’m guessing Mitchel probably has a cheaper version on the continent.

Yes under the circumstances I thought that was a good win. They basically tried to kick us off the park second half and it was the classic febrile atmosphere. They look like the type of fans who’d be looking for trouble too, like orcs from Lord of the rings.

Fast strong and direct and clearly likes ruffling a few feathers. Yes he’s a bit raw but he definitely causes problems and he’s got a decent turn on him in tight spaces. Looks like a decent option to get more minutes in games for say 20 mins or so as his pace and direct running is a real threat.

You make it sound like he was a complete waste of space which is nonsense. He’s been out for months, what were you expecting plus he scored. He hasn’t proved he can stay fit but if he can he’ll play a major role from now til the end of the season. His goal yesterday was a classic poachers goal which we’ll need and he’s a great target man.

We blew our chance two years ago really but the players will have learnt plenty from that. From memory Isak has been injured and wasn’t at the same level, Bruno had been out, we had Karius in goal. Assuming we aren’t unlucky with injuries we’ve got the players to win it.

It is and I’d argue that’s the route we have to go down with Mitchel given this farcical PSR landscape. As you say there are good deals to be had out there. However the multiple positions we need to fill is going to cost a fair bit and you’re not always going to find those bargains. Also 80m seems a minuscule amount given our non-existent recent transfer windows and the fact we’ve actually now been selling players too. I’d expect 80m minimum even offloading players but maybe I’m missing something.

If we’ve got only 80m to spend this summer after sales and basically barely spending a penny for 3 windows we’re totally fucked. Might as well pack up and go home 😂
