Definitely need a goal scoring RW and someone who is incisive in the final 3rd to help finish teams off/turn draws into wins.

Im starting to think this but Howe clearly seems to be banking on Wilson finding some form from somewhere.

Has a point to prove after that act of stupidity, can only work in our favour.

This is my worry, we dont put teams away at home enough when we’re on top and particularly the teams we should be beating. We still seem to lose our heads when teams come back into it and then everything becomes pretty chaotic. That’s what happened last night before Tonali bailed us out with that cross/shot. I’m not worried about Man U so much because that will have a big game feel but Palace is a worry. If Isak stays fit I think we’ll get top 5 though.

Wilson has lost pace for sure but he’s also been out for ages so he’s clearly going to have lost sharpness too. I don’t think he was that bad last night but I was more concerned about his lack of holding up play more than his pace. Hes a natural goalscorer though which is why I think Howe is trying to give him minutes, he knows he might need to rely on him to get a goal or two between now and then end of the season. We could really do with him bagging one against Leicester or someone like that.

Yeah we’re going to have to be far better down the stretch in terms of taking our chances and being more proficient in the final 3rd. I think the result is the main thing tonight, tricky opposition, tricky timing after all the celebrations. Back to training and onto to Leicester.

It was a really difficult match against an awkward opponent and a huge win in the context of Europe. The worrying aspect is still our inability to kill teams off and miss chances, and the way we seem to be rocked so badly in second halfs when it all turns to chaos. Huge win all the same.

Robsons whiney voice does do my head in too, keeps saying “erm”. I don’t mind Hurst too much really though I know loads can’t hack him, each to their own etc. Corby and Norman are the best on there really.

Yeah I think they’ll be fine now but tonight is key for them because as you say if they slip up and then go into that Villa game they could come unstuck. The Wood injury is key for them too.

I think if we can win these next two games close together the league could look really good going into the home match v Man U

To be fair I think the point was made that “if” we won our game in hand it’d only 4 points which gives something to chase.

There’ll be such an atmosphere at the match that I agree I think we’ll win but Brentford are an awkward side and I don’t think it’ll be as straightforward as some might think. I do think Howe will have them really well prepared and focussed for these last 10 games.

Was there any news on Chris Woods hip injury? Wouldn’t wish a long term injury on him at all but if he misses several games that’s not ideal for Forest.

It’ll be an interesting summer to see what happens with the Forest and Bournemouth teams transfer wise but mainly Bournemouth as Forest look like they’ll probably get CL.

I think a top CB and RW really takes us up a level. A RW who can win matches for us and cause mayhem on that right side would make a huge difference to our play. More speed at the back would be a game changer too.

If we get CL, there’s not a chance he leaves this summer for me. We’ll also sign higher calibre players which is important for the top players to see. He probably also signs a new contract with a get out clause. If we don’t get CL that’s when it “might” get more interesting with teams testing our resolve and Isak’s plans. Even then the fee might make it very difficult for teams to get a deal done.

Totally agree, I’m not stressing about it at all, whether they bring in will have had extensive research on regarding all facets of their game and character.

I think this is the key, there’s no way they want to sell Isak ffs. The only way it “might” happen is if we don’t get CL and he decides he wants to go elsewhere, then we might be looking at a summer transfer. Even then tho I think he might give us another year given we’re bringing in new signings. Hes one of the best strikers in the world, there was always going to be loads of stuff from pundits, fans, people trying to unsettle him. Most of it is just noise but it’s going to get a lot lot worse.

Huijsen would cost too much I think considering we want a high calibre RW too.

It’s only going to get worse. People are naive if they think there’s no chance he goes this summer though. I think we’ll get CL though and he’ll sign a new contract.

I don’t think that’s correct, I’m sure I heard him say recently he’s always liked the number 14 and feels comfortable wearing it.

I think he might sign a new contract with some kind of get out clause if we get CL.

He can fire us to the CL again this season
