  1. Watching the game from the Leazes yesterday I still think we lack that attacking creative option on the right. A genuine option there would really give teams something to think about and create more space in general and against defensive set ups at home. It would also help the RBs. We can certainly “manage” without a new RW with current options but it definitely limits our overall play and particularly in big games. Going to be an interesting two weeks.
  2. I don’t think we were terrible or awful. Yes it was disappointing we didn’t come out of the traps straight away but Gordon looked a little off the pace and I think we just lacked a little zip which effected the press. It was a flat start to the game for sure but I was fairly confident we’d make our quality count as the game went on then the red card happened. The first few games some players are always finding their form and fitness. I think we would’ve gone on and won 11 v 11 and as it was we dealt with a difficult situation really well in the end and still won. Im interested to see what we look like this coming weekend though as we’ll have to be a lot sharper.

Exactly. Man some of the comments in this thread and the Minteh thread 🤦‍♂️😂 “We should be doing this, we should have done that”. How about we let the paid professionals get on with it an assess at the end of the window.

The whole league is going to mental last couple of weeks I think
  5. One or both of Isak will almost certainly move without champions league football next season.
  6. Human battering ran but also great on the ball. Will be even better I think with Tonali or Willock playing Edit: if he’s improved his finishing he’ll be lethal
  7. I really like him, I know he’s limited to a point but as others have said he was injured for much of last season. Ultimately Willock and Tonali offer more each with different attributes but Longstaff absolutely has a role to play here.
  8. Hes a fucking useless referee isn’t he. Never ever has control of games so these situations happen.
  9. True and it’ll be interesting to see what happens. It’s a bit of Guehi situation in that he two years left but I can’t see him agitating for a move and I’d be surprised if Liverpool are prepared to pay an absolute load of cash on a LW given the options they already have with Diaz etc. You never know though 🤷‍♂️
  10. I agree I also think Tino snd our RBs would benefit from a more creative threat on the right too.
  11. Looks undercooked, no biggy, another week of training and he’ll be sharper for Bournemouth.

I’m pretty happy either way, if we bring him in great, if we get another player in who is a solid back up to Schar then great too. Either way we need another option there that’s plainly obvious and one with decent pace would be good.
  13. The club backed themselves into a situation with PSR and had to make tough decisions, decisions they clearly poured over for hours on end. Anderson is a talent but with who we already have at the club he wasn’t going to start that many games this season and hasn’t really nailed down a specific position. Howe didn’t want to sell him but there we are, it made sense. Minteh “might” go on to be a superb player, he might be average. But for someone who has never played in the premier league we got good money for which with Anderson’s sale enabled us to avoid a possible ten point deduction AND keep our big hitters. Sure it’ll be a bit disappointing if either goes on to be a world beater but they’ve gone, the decision was made, move on folks or rather move on Zero mate 👍
  14. Or we don’t sell him and potentially ended up with a 10 point deduction. It was the least worst option including the sale of Anderson. People still going on about this ffs
  15. Diaz is a fucking wanker but Schar gives the ref/VAR the option. It’s very soft but it’s daft from Schar in this day and age. Should’ve held firm and just laughed at the cunt after the initial barge.
  16. Was it Longstaff who cleaned him out? 😂

I felt so much more confident with him in goal when we went down to 10 men.
  18. Yeah that was immense. Ultimately Tonali will probably replace him and Willock will be pushing to start eventually but he has a big role to play squad wise.

Mitchel has dealt with loads of transfers, he’s no mug. If they really want the player they’ll continue to go for him but there’ll be a cut off point for sure. They're hardly going to signal to other clubs they’ll pay whatever the club asks for.
