  1. True, weirdly and even as a physio myself that doesn’t concern me that much because they’ll do enough research into it and if they sign him it can’t be that much of a concern. Look at Wilso for example, 2 ACLs and has come back back though people do tend to do well coming back from ACLs thesedays. The Tierney link seems to have cooled however. LB a really important signing though.
  2. He seems perfect, injury record a concern but literally ideal for what we need.
  3. I think if we sign another winger type and a left back before the USA we’re looking pretty good then possibly a few additions via loans, lower fee signings for general squad depth rest of the window (CB etc).
  4. I don’t know a huge amount about him but Lindstrom lad looks like exactly the type of talent and player we’d look to sign to help improve creativity. And a price range which doesn’t make it unrealistic.
  5. Id back our midfield against almost any side with Joelinton, Bruno and Tonali as a 3 and plenty other options available too
  6. Im intrigued to see what happens with Targett this season.
  7. I think we were always going to get barbed jibes after the takeover and with success. We’re a threat to teams now and we’ve got people worried. The comments from Klopp were daft as it’s the type of predictable angle you hear from fans. Envy, dislike of the Saudi element was always going to stoke the flames of hatred from other teams fans. City fans always said we’d start getting criticised.
  8. Stats aside he just winds me up ?
  9. My annoyance regarding Szoboszlai is not that I was dead set on us signing him but the fact he’s ended up at fucking Liverpool. The grates me more. That whopper of a manager giving it the “ceiling” comments then lashing out millions signing players in the summer, knob.
  10. I agree I think we absolutely need a new attacking style left back and an upgrade but I also thought Targett did really well in his first season on loan and it’s clear injury and Burns form disrupted things for him this season just gone. I’m not saying Targett is the answer but I wonder if he’ll get more game time in the league, cups this season.
  11. I agree with all the champions league fixtures LB and a back up right CB really important for strength and depth. 1 or 2 key injuries in that area and we’re really struggling.
  12. I know two absolutely sound Liverpool fans but as a majority I find them intolerable. Klopp definitely rattled by us, I hope we muller them next season.
  13. Ashworth will still have some influence on quality talent in conjunction with scouts, that’s just my point. I agree we need more attacking options, I just think it’ll come in the form of players further forward such as right wing slot given we’ve already spent 50+ on Tonali.
  14. Also means say Tonali plays a champions league fixture then Longstaff comes in for the league fixture a few days later, just allows greater rotation. Or vice versa etc
  15. ? I think ASM stays left side, rotates with Gordon and on occasion Joelinton. Right side is new signing, Miggy, Murphy when needed.
  16. I think winger and left back are the most urgent positions to fill. A goal scoring winger who can open teams up on the break and against tight defences at home would be massive. A new left back improves our overall play too. This is probably why we’re moving away from targets people thought we were originally going for.
  17. So he had no influence on any incoming talent as director of football? ? And on Tonali, no he’s not the same type of player obviously but I hazard to guess that they believe he can have all manner of positive knock on effects on our midfield and general play including Bruno having the option of more influence further forward.
  18. I think he’ll be here next season unless we get a concrete offer which makes financial sense to sell. ‘If’ he can stay fit I actually think he’ll have a good season too but he just struggles to stay fit.
  19. Thats a good summing up ? Again as with the Maddison deal I think Tonali has changed things. Tonali will offer dynamism in midfield, Bruno will have more influence going forwards as a result, Willock will improve I’m sure. They’re probably thinking they could do with more pace, goals and creativity as you say. I think we’ll see money spent on a more traditional winger type player.
  20. That’s how I see it plus look at some of the diamonds Ashworth has pulled out for Brighton recently. I’m not worried at all.
  21. We’ve been pretty ruthless moving on Bruno, Isak and Tonali
  22. I think we will go for a more out and out creative winger. Our midfield is sorted.
  23. He looks like a great player and given I cannot stand Liverpool in general bar a few sound pounds a i know so yeah it’s a little frustrating but you make a great point about being realistic where we are currently. We’re slowly posing these teams off more and more for me and that’s good enough for me ?
