  1. You’re probably right, there’s a stronger argument for Isak starting out of anyone though. Isak will deserve his chance eventually and that might be against Saints or West Ham.
  2. Think Isak might start but rest of the team same as 1st leg. There’s an argument both ASM and Isak should start really but I think Howe will play it more cautious banking on us finishing chances this time.
  3. Agree with that. If anything it forces players to raise their game to keep their place. I can see him coming in as a regular starter too. He’s better than Miggy at taking on players in a low block, can go left or right, more trickery.
  4. I heard on a podcast that he plays more on the right? I thought he was left sided more?
  5. Yeah I don’t read the athletic for breaking transfer stories. Waugh/Caulkins in depth pieces are quality imo.
  6. He’ll make a huge difference second half of the season. Players will obvious fatigue more and bringing him off the bench vs Murphy is obviously a huge step up in quality and intensity. Also means we can rotate more and give opposition a different look with our front 3.
  7. Thought he drove a Range Rover.
  8. Gordon gives us much more depth and considering how much work our players are required to do you need quality to bring off the bench to maintain intensity. He’ll also push Miggy and others to maintain form and enable Howe to rotate players more to avoid fatigue. He’ll flourish under Howe’s coaching imo.
  9. Yeah that’s a ridiculous comparison, Colback ffs ?
  10. Be very surprised if Maddison happens but last few days could be interesting.
  11. Clubs like Liverpool have a whole array of forwards. We play a high pressing game and will likely be fighting on 4 fronts next season. We need depth and competition for places and improving potential. Gordon ticks all those boxes. Edit, ASM still has a massive role to play too.
  12. I think we’ll sign Gordon then another winger/forward in the summer.
  13. Exactly this, no chance 55m. 40-45 max
  14. Seems like it’ll happen eventually. He’s not playing for Everton currently and he wants to leave or so it seems with personal terms agreed. Just haggling over fee now.
  15. Spot on, plus having him on one side Miggy on the other causes mayhem because teams struggle to double up. Throw in Isak running the channels ?
  16. I think we sign Gordon in Jan and a player like Maddison in summer ?
  17. Isak and ASM must be a nightmare to defend against ? Hope it’s ASM, Isak, Miggy next Tuesday going mental
  18. Agreed it’d stale and the side looks unbalanced. Willock will run and run and then the attack comes to nowt down the left. He should’ve squared it when he shot for the disallowed VAR goak
  19. If Howe thinks he’ll work that’s good enough for me. He’s hardly going to be the only winger we sign, look how many options LIverpool have for example. We’re building a squad.
  20. Assuming he signs I think Howe and his coaching could work wonders for him, would fit that pressing style.
  21. I’ll let Howe decide on whether he thinks a player is a fit for the team ?
  22. Things will really hot up this week, think the squad could really do with a couple of incomings to freshen things up.
  23. I think he’ll be fine but judging by Howe’s quotes he’s missed large chunks of training so no wonder he’s looked a bit off. I’m sure Howe will manage his minutes appropriately and he’ll get that sharpness back in the coming weeks.
