Dominic Calvert-Lewin (playing for Leeds United)

Yeah finding a back up , 2nd option striker is hard. Clubs hands are tied financially to an extent so they can’t shell out fortunes on a striker and RW. I still think bulk of our money will go on RW. -

He's in the final year of his contract, I’d be staggered if we were to pay anything like that and it’s also not like he’s been a goal machine recently to push the price up. I agree I wouldn’t be happy paying anything like 37m -

In fairness Everton weren’t exactly creating a boat load of chances. He was highly rated a few years back but seems to have lost his way a bit and suffered from injuries. His fitness looks like it’s improved recently and maybe he just needs a change, Gordon’s done pretty well following the move. I can see why the club are looking at him to be honest especially as a back up striker if he doesn’t cost that much. It won’t eat into our budget too much and will still allow for a fair chunk on RW and hopefully R CB to come in. I can also see why people are less enthused by this as a signing but I’m pretty comfortable with it. -
Being signed as a back up, no issue with that really

He's literally exactly what we need but the injuries are a concern (though I haven’t looked into his exact record to be fair)

We are atrocious, he hasn’t got a scooby man -
Agreed

Could do with this coming to an end and a new sporting director installed
-
Totally. RW is going to eat up most of our budget. In an ideal world we’d strengthen all areas of the team but that’s fantasy land with PSR. Club is having to box clever wiht signings.

Olise is nailed on for Chelsea.

Exactly, Pope allows the defence to push up which was one of the major issues when Dubravka was in goal. They must rate Trafford pretty highly anyway and it sounds like the structure of the deal is the only issue.

I’m just not convinced this summer we’ll shell out the money for a starting keeper when you consider the other areas that need filling particularly now as we missed out on Tosin. Pope’s shoulder aside the defence function pretty solidly when he’s playing. Botman will also be back later this season and Kelly provides more recovery pace. I can see why they’re going for Trafford that’s all. We desperately need a new RW, R CB, probably a new striker. I think they’ll opt fo those areas above spending 35-40 or whatever it costs on a new keeper.
-
I agree to an extent but im not sure they have the funds to get a new starter at RW and keeper and potentially R CB. Something is going to have to give somewhere.

Oh and the absolute knackers that are his “followers” 🤦♂️
-
Yeah awful little cretin who’s been rightfully found guilty for being the absolute cunt that he is. Hopefully he winds his neck in now but as you say he can’t help himself. Hopefully that leads to him being done over again in court by others. Act like a cunt, you get what you deserve.

I think they’re good fixtures really, can’t complain.

Stuck in Dobbies 😂😂👏

I imagine everything will properly kick off for most teams in a few weeks at the start of the new financial 3 years and as players start returning from the euros. There’s probably deals lined up which won’t be announced until July for some teams.

Decisions on st James and the potential new training ground site moving at glacial levels of speed

I can’t actually see where you buy one on the site, woeful 🤷♂️ Edit, bought

Can match most strikers for pace which we need
-
That was Henry Winters point too FWIW

Good young talent, solid back up, plenty to learn still obviously but can develop under Pope. Potentially a really good signing if it happens.
