  1. You’d imagine the atmosphere will be red hot initially and they’ll have a proper go at us. If we get control of the game in midfield though the crowd will get nervous. They are very vulnerable to the counter and ASM and Willock would be ideal for this game. They have to win, draw is fine for us
  2. Agreed totally, they HAVE to beat us, so ASM is perfect for counter attacking
  3. Which game were you watching?
  4. Does the bloke think we’re still owned by Ashley ?
  5. There’s some proper rubbish written about him. He’s clearly been carrying a knock of some sort and they’ve been keeping the details close to their chest and right so. Now it seems he’s been under the weather, it happens. As if it’s all cloak and daggers and something else is going on.
  6. Exactly. You just know now with Howe and the players there’ll be complete professionalism whatever happens. We can give Chelsea a game and it’ll be interesting just to see us go up against their quality. The players just won’t be switching off even if privately most will acknowledge we’re probably pretty much safe.
  7. Even when Wilson comes back or when we clearly sign a new starting striker next season he’ll give us another option next season. Wouldn’t be surprised if he goes on and gets 4-5 from here this season

    Dan Burn

    Bloke is just colossal
  9. Next couple of home games are crucial for Everton. Wolves are a tough side and then they have us which is a colossal fixture. If we can even pick up a couple of draws out of the next 4, or even squeeze out a win we’ll be looking very good going into two games against Wolves and Leicester.
  10. That’s a fair point. It’ll be interesting to see who we go for in various positions to be honest. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a mix of some premier league ready players and a few from abroad.
  11. It’s a strange feeling to look at solidity at left back isn’t it ?
  12. I don’t doubt that with Howe, Trippier and the general vibe at the club at the moment we’d get him firing. I’m not sure I can see us shelling out for him though and I can see us going to the continent for targets. They may ofcourse go back in for Lingard again who is tried and tested as a winger and available on a free to play on that right side.
  13. I think it’ll take him some time to adjust fully but I see no reason why he can’t be a success off the limited time we’ve seen him and all the reports prior to him joining.
  14. Based on what? He hasn’t even started a game yet ?
  15. That’s very well summed up. To put it in context I was sat in the Milburn papping it whereas when I spoke to my West Ham mate who watch it all live before his match he said as a neutral he just never thought Brighton looked like scoring.
  16. I think he did alright to be fair but he gets caught out of position and you feel there’s still a mistake/rash challenge in him. Manquilo is just that much better all round really. I’d certainly rather see him at Chelsea.
  17. Fair enough, I can’t actually remember how good Henderson is. Agree someone else needs to come in though.
  18. I would imagine Tripper was looking at probably 8 weeks (I heard 6 somewhere but that seems very unrealistic if you ask me putting my Physio head on) if all goes well which would be mid April so maybe Wolves or Leicester? Wilson seems a bit more uncertain but there were some positive quotes from him about his recent progress in the last few weeks. If he could get back fit for the final games it would be a huge bonus. With recent results I’m confident we can win particularly as Brighton are in a little bit of a lull. 3 points going into those away fixtures would be ace. St James will be a bear pit of noise.
  19. They’re good away from home too, excellent counter attacking team. We are a tough no nonsense side though and St James is a difficult place to visit now.
  20. I think Norwich will beat Brentford next weekend
