I really think play time is high on his list. And there have been rumours that he has been giving a hizzy fit about scholes beeing recalled. It's no secret we got a thin squad. And he can see we've given players such as Ranger alot of time before. Maybe he sees it as a place to showcase his skills?

buying players on the cheap and still managing to be 3rd in the league!? wtf!?
-
back to the "problem jose?"
-
if we play a 433 its obvious that both cabaye and guthrie will be further up the pitch. Both capable to score a goal. Wouldn't be such a bad idea imo.
-
he and jose struggles with the same thing when they first got here. Their positioning can be astrious at times. But their pure speed makes hell lot up for it and they basicly just bursts down to catch up again. Will be interesting when we've played all matches to see how he deals with good wingers consistently.

Cabaye took one for the team to get Ben Arfa into the game. -

Really enjoyed watching Jonas in the middle. He really just floats trough players and can't cross. But he does have an eye for an last ditch pass. A big plus is his work ethics. Would like to see more of that. -
Best does relish from beeing the main man. Just doesn't seem like he got the skill to get from outside the box to inside and fire good shots. But when he's on the last man and working there he do can be deadly.

I think we didn't really see the best of him today. But his work ethics off the ball when we have the ball isn't all that. Was better out on the wing as it requires less movement to find space. As a number 10 he needs alot more movement to find space, but god when he does it's a joy to watch.

maybe the cause of the club going back into earning its own money makes ashley open his wallet? But if there was one player this window, Cissokho would be on my list. /drool

good wingbacks working equally good both ways are essential in modern footie. It is how every top team works regardless of what formation they use. And we would be so much better with someone like cissokho in the team rather then a marginally better winger. Back spots have often been a weak spot for us. And what is spouted around is that we want a passing game moving up the field. Our wingers doesn't need all the speed in the world. Hence we could even have Raylor on the winger wich got an excellent delivery, IF we had Santon on the right back able to get on the overlap to use speed.

time to bulk up then?
-
if he took his old wage back on a 7 year contract, maybe.
-
Rhodes just doesn't seem like a Ashley signing though. So really doubt it. Sought after english talent in form, he won't do a Dalglish.

So far Pardew has done his job, and more. Kept us up by a good margin last season, and has pushed us on this season. If we finish where we currently are it's massive progress in my eyes. One or two spots higher up. Tremendous progress. He has had limited funds but the club are moving towards going into positive figures when we call it end of season and hopefully he will be more backed in the future windows. I do agree with some on here that he is kind of cowordly at times, but thats what he think is best and he should do what he think is best. Atleast until proven he's not right.

Reaching europe should be nice for mr Ashley and he should try to get there. Just think of the sponsor potential, more tickets sold etc. And not to say the younger players beeing played getting increase in value for resale.
-
Actually think I'd rather have Olsson then Hoilett. A more classical winger better on the defence.
-
one million dollars.... ermh.. one BILLION dollars!
-
BA HBA Hoilett guthrie tiote cabaye
-
Actually created the most chances for us according to that spreadsheet on the tiote thread. Nice to have a player with a delivery on end of the pitch. Also liked how he looked for a knockdown from Ameobi. Obertan should learn from that.
-
imho, he should play some more right winger in friendlies etc. to improve his attacking play, wich is one of the worse considering his speed.

GUNNA WIN DA LIG!

Think of how good a team we could've been if we had decent wingers going forward pushing their fullbacks? Taylor, despite his speed actually did it at several occasions off the ball.
