I moaned at this against City and they put in a canny performance, i had half a moan at the line up before Chelsea and they won. Can see why he's done it, options are limited, Cisse out of form, Ben Arfa struggled up top, Shola has give us something to aim at. Agree with the person a couple of posts up about the 4-4-2, Norwich played it and hardly seen the ball, hope we can do better than that. Feel sorry for Anita like, he should be starting. Dont' think Ben Arfa/Cisse/Colo can have too many complaints as they have either not took their chance or others deserve to be playing ahead of them. We played for a draw against city and got beat in extra time, doesn't strike me as good gameplan. Shola serves no purpose apart from defending corners, To be fair I would have left out Colo for this and Mike and Mbiwa have looked decent. In regards to Cisse the man isn't good enough for me but Anita should be starting, when he came on last weekend we looked a lot more fluid and attacked with purpose. Couldn't disagree more about Cisse simply not being good enough. But that's for another day, the side has been picked, it's a decent side on the back of a win agaisnt Chelsea and there's no reason to why we can't expect another decent showing today. I don't think we will win, not getting carried away off last weeks result but we have a fair chance of taking a draw off these. They are a very good side but have struggled themselves in recent weeks even if they have popped up with late winners.

Shola f***ing Ameobi is starting instead of Hatem Ben Arfa, there's no excuse for that man. I've said it many times, i'd have Ben Arfa playing every single minute of every single match but he's clearly a frustrating player for a football manager. We've generally played well when he hasn't been playing though.

Lucas is better than Mikel.
-
They could have Pardew. That would be an upgrade. Right?

4 goals for Madrid and none for Bale

You seem to accept it when we lose under the current manager, you actively support him. Active support
-
How is it the same? Well your friend clearly agrees with you that accepting a Newcastle loss is perfectly acceptable. Maybe i'm one of a few who wouldn't accept granting another team a win in order to get our manager sacked.
-
What are you on about? I said I would accept a defeat (or words to that effect) if it meant him going, that's not hoping we lost you moron. All the same really. Accepting losses and i'm the moron
-
When has Ben Arfa sorted himself out in his career to date
-
He's silenced nobody, he's still s***. Are you still hoping we lose so he gets sacked, Mick?

Stahp Brett pls. The difficult period involved us being thoroughly embarrassed by Sunderland. Still needs a couple of good results in the next 4 to win back some hearts and minds. Really though? We got beat, it can happen. Cardiff beat Swansea at the weekend, does that now mean Cardiff are better than Swansea and embarrassed them? No, not at all. The 3-0 at home however was thoroughly embarrassing, losing to a 20 yard strike in closing stages isn't. Norwich/West Brom are the big games, i agree. This period of games from Everton away was tough though and i think the players and manager can keep their heads held high bar an embarrassing display tomorrow.

Many thought he wouldn't survive the 'difficult period', he's silenced them though, fair play to him. He’s one decent performance away from getting some credit.
-
Of course, which manager wouldn't. Not as simple as you make it out to be though,

Does Remy like? Carry one, but two? Doesn't work. Remy has been more dangerous than Ben Arfa so rightfully picked ahead of him. Doubt we'll see Remy Ben Arfa on oppositive wings very much under Pardew. I see no point in taking Zaha when Ben Arfa can't even start for us, rather look elsewhere.
-
Agree with MON, like. He was the best they could ever hope for, similar to Fulham now wanting Jol out, they aren't going to upgrade on him.
-
Ben Arfa's dropped because he won't work his bollocks off for the team, no chance we'll be bringing in this lad, even worse.

Got to be Sturridge? Augero is on fire at the moment but mackems haven't been as bad as people think at home. Generally played alright even in defeat, can't see City cruising it. Liverpool however should do what they did to West Brom, pile up points for everyone.
