  1. Time doesn't have to tell us anything about Pardew, it already has and he's not very good. Thanks for the opinion Mick
  2. He's just scared tbh. Cabaye and Tiote worked when we finished 5th. If it aint broke don't fix it, if it breaks just leave it and hope it doesn't get worse - Alan Pardew That's never a real quote is it
  3. I really wish Anita would start but we all know deep down that he isn't going to. Same with Bigi, we would all hope he would get his fair share of game time but unless injuries strike we are rarely going to see him. Which is a shame on both accounts.
  4. Oh sorry should a pre-season friendly draw against Rangers have me shitting bricks, my apologies sir. Carry on then. i don't know what point you're making, you quoted me then quoted yourself presumably in an attempt to show my quote was wrong...i was saying it wasn't really Because your original finger pointing at me was directed at my worries about last nights result which wasn't big enough because i'm only 'slightly bothered'. So how bothered are you? How bothered should i be about a pre-season draw? Your the one who picked names out and pointed towards our only slight concerns, why don't you inform me how i should feel about last nights result?

  6. Fair play, if that's true I'm just wrong. It's just very unappealing to me when a group of fans take turns to laugh at stuff which (IMO) is very often perfectly normal stuff for a manager to say. This is separate issue to whether you think Pardew's any good or not. To me, it just comes across as smug and willfully ignorant, and that people are doing it just to have another dig at the manager. This is just my opinion, obviously things can come across strangely in writing, so maybe that's it. You had a problem when people weren't happy with Pardew saying he didn't care if Arsenal beat us 4-0 and thank God we weren't in Europe next season. Were they perfectly normal things for a manager to say or worthy of criticism and mockery? Apologies, I don't have a tape recording of it btw. I don't think it's worth me trying to re-argue all those points again. Areet then. I'm not trying to avoid the issue, it's just genuinely too much like hard work to go through it all again. Goooooooooo on, one more time, they are calling for an encore...
  7. Well clearly you have to chose to believe what you want to believe regarding my opinons on last night's match as i've simply chosen nothing of the sort of which you've suggested
  8. You lot have a funny way of showing happiness then. We've just drew with Rangers, lets ridicule our manager and call for him to be sacked. Happy times!!! Eh? Think you've missed the point here and in this thread. The thread has been created like it's just for a little giggle when really it's for everyone to have their sly digs at Pardew and vent there frustration inside by nit picking things from the press. It's not laughing at getting names mixed up or getting muddled up mid sentence, it's dissecting interviews to find little comments which can make him look clueless. I'm fairly certain this could be done across the board for all managers in press interviews if looked into.

  10. But we did play decent football in a couple of the other pre-season games, by all accounts. And in this one as well if you go off Caulkin
  11. based on what brett? i'd seriously like to hear an explanation I've said this explanation numerous times now. I'm sure you'll find it somewhere. Adding Remy to the list of players only enhances my belief the players will stand up and be counted this season. Krul, Debuchy, MYM, Colo, Santon, Tiote, Cabaye, Sissoko, HBA, Remy, Cisse...that's a thereabouts lineup against West Ham, anyone who looks at that and thinks we are in trouble again next season must have serious pessimistic issues. Because that side to me turns me on to be quite frank. I've placed my trust in Pardew to deliver, for me personally he’s had one good season, one bad season, I’m now backing him for another good season. I’m well aware the majority on here see things differently and I accept the way you wish to look at things, be it negative patter and just plain hatred patter, entirely your choice in which you look and choose to support the team. Don’t want to create another stir and for replies to fly back to well he never did this, he does this wrong, he plays there, shouldn’t play there and for me to go into Pardew’s excuse book to back him up. We all have the opinions on the quality of our side and Pardew’s managerial ability, only time will tell us whose judgement is actually correct.
  12. I find it embarrassing that we have a thread dedicated to 'excuses' from our own manager, before a ball has been kicked in the season, and made up of quite a lot of stuff which is exactly the same as every manager in the league comes out with on a weekly basis. I also find it depressing and irritating how we revel in negativity, but that's a bigger issue. It's just a bit of fun man. As for revelling in negativity, that's ironic given the nature of the thread you're embarrassed by. I'm fairly certain if RTG had a thread like this up and they were ripping their own manager to shreds people on here would be loving it. Put the thread on our forum and it's just a bit of jest...
  13. Yes but the players are getting a free ride out of this performance whilst Pardew takes all the flak once again. The only player who once again didn't escape a few abusive posts was Jonas, just typical. Not a word mentioned about Cabaye/HBA/Cisse. Same old. These players mentioned might have had good games, i don't know, hardly read anything about Cabaye or Cisse and HBA lost ball a fair few times but he always does. It's just far easier to see Rangers score a pen after 5 minutes and say sack Pardew straight away and kick up a fuss within first 10 minutes of a pre-season friendly. Brett, we were s*** for an entire season last time out. Think about that, an entire season. Yes i'm well aware we were, however Venky we have both been over this already this summer so let's not get back into it again. I'm backing Pardew and the players to respond this upcoming season and i believe we will turn things around. This is his chance for me, however if he's struggling and no improvements by around Xmas, I’ll hold my hands up, admit I was wrong, beg for forgiveness and ask for a new manager off Santa. My feelings as well. I've have worries about Pardew's approach, like everyone. But I'm prepared to give him this season to see if he can get things back on track. If we didn't worry, people on here would think that we are even more delusional than they already think we are.

  16. And now a contradictory post to the other fella who was at the match about Sissoko's position...great. Fuck it, we'll just say he played on the wing. Pardew Out.
  17. I don't expect Sissoko to play on the wing in the Prem, that's just my opinion. We are chasing a winger so it's not like he thinks Sissoko/Jonas is the answer and it's crazy for people to think he'll start them wingers against City. Why play them this way in the penultimate friendly match then? That's the question. Preseason should be about working on tactics and systems, not just putting players anywhere and saying 'get fit'. Well i missed the post earlier but Inochi has sprung it back up and it's clear Sissoko wasn't actually on the wing so that defuses a fair share of hatred of posts about Pardew playing him on the wing however it doesn't sound promising that people at the match couldn't really work out what was going on but with it being pre-season it's normal for things to be getting shuffled about. It's a slight worry we couldn't gain a win against Rangers but nothing more, the reaction has just spiralled in to a Pardew hatred campaign once again when everything had just started becoming more positive on this forum yesterday...it lasted a day.

  19. Well i'm guessing they can't be many on here who were when the questions ‘was Sissoko exclusively on the right wing’ still hasn't been conclusively answered by anyone on here who was at the match. I'm still not convinced and I’m not drawing conclusions to that because i've never seen the game, he may well have had spells out wide, he may well have been there full time, i don't know but just because he bombs down the right and puts a cross in, doesn't tell me he's played right wing for full game.
  20. I like things like that In what way? People being rightly annoyed that the failures and rudimentary problems of last season not being addressed? That we are continuing to use players in wrong positions so close to the start of a new season? Yesterday all positive posts, we are going to do well, we've got Remy, our front 3 is fantastic, and our team looks exciting. Comes to the match and everyone is back on the sack Pardew trail again before the season has even kicked off. All of these comments are from people who have only been refreshing twitter for Lee Ryder updates i must add so have actually no clue to what has actually been happening in between a 30 yard Cabaye effort and a monster tackle from Debuchy for instance. Baffling to draw such conclusions on tactics or the style of play we were using when you haven’t even watched the game yourself or let alone listened to it.
  21. What a disgusting thread, get it locked man, embarrassing. If RTG had something like this up we would be all over it, so hypocritical.
  22. Well i certainly wish i hadn't read back over this thread, some cringe worthy over the top posting, should have expected it to be fair. A heavy defeat against City and I can see some writing off the season (if they haven’t already after last night’s fatal performance). This was a canny post though: I like things like that
  23. You'll come crawling back when your buddy is benchwarming and MYM is showing his class
  24. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks Steven Taylor is a better player than MYM. I'm not even someone who gives Taylor loads of stick, i just think he's slightly above average but never reached the potential he did have.
