  1. Cisse going in one thread. Cabaye going in this one. Absolute meltdown on the forum here. Hope San Lorenzo don't win the lottery tonight.

    Papiss Cissé

That was Jesus, man. Narrr, he's already been crucified him, Cisse's turn coming up.

    Papiss Cissé

Poor Cisse hasn't said a word and he's being crucified.

Sack off Wonga. New strips and sponsors please.
  5. Yeah that's it, both would much rather take Norway. I can't see it bothering either side too much though, think both of them will progress to final regardless of who plays who. If Spain mess up tonight and take 2nd place, can see their price drifting which will tempt me more to stick a side bet on them. Just going to leave them at 5/4 or less.
  6. Nice price for the double, rode your luck last night against the Norwegians though Yeah was surprised at the 13/2 when paper wise the dutch had arguably the strongest squad bar the Spanish. Bookies had the Germans second faves for the tournament though so always knew if Holland managed to get through the group that price would rocket down.
  7. What price was the double on the group? I've got 20 on the dutch at 13/2 and spain are currently 5/4, i think this will be an early encounter of the final so not sure whether or not to place money on Spain or not.
  8. Krul Debuchy Mapao Colo Santon Anita Cabaye Sissoko Ben Arfa Marveaux Cisse I'd start that at home, then you can have Gouffran as a striking option from the bench rather than Shola.
  9. Reet bellend this bloke like. Starts with writing the deal off, then ends with it could still happen though. Prick.
  10. Aye, Levy will come out, assure fans that he isn't leaving, express AVB is under contract and explain they are in a good position financially so don't need to let him go. PSG up the compensation and Levy snaps the hands off
  11. Start ahead of who? My three would be Sandro/Huddlestone/Dembele. Haven't seen enough of Holtby in Premier League to make my mind up on him (impressed in this tourney though).
  12. Tom Huddlestone, can't believe he's still floating around Spurs' B side. Lovely footballer has shown moments of class in the Premier League. Suprised a decent enough club hasn't took a chance on him. I'd start him for Spurs. Carrys a bit like.
  13. I think he is, he's certainly not a play off the main striker like we had him doing on a regular basis, or a winger. Box to box midfielder/defensive midfielder. He certainly isn't our creative midfielder that's for sure. I don't think his end product is much to worry about in the slightest. Defensive midfielder, man. Come on. I don't see your point? I think he is very much more suited to defending than he is attacking. The fact he came in to our side and played further forward under Pardew as we were seriously lacking in that department, caught a couple of teams off guard with his presence, suddenly we think he's a creative attacking midfielder? Not a chance. I can see him playing box to box or defensive mid alongside Tiote/Anita depending on opposition next season.

  15. That was the puzzler for me, as I said in another thread his numbers are pretty much in line with say, Yaya Touré's, even a bit better. He's not going to be Frank Lampard but his end product is just fine. He isn't really creative is what the scout is getting at. Obviously he makes thinks happen because of his running and presence. Bloke is a defensive midfielder, i don't understand why his final product is being mentioned when it's not one of his key attributes to his position. It's like saying Cisse is rash and poor in tackles, it is a correct statement but it doesn't really matter to the position he plays.
  16. 2 million would a nice deal, i think Williamson gets a lot of unfair stick like, probably from myself as well at times. He is there for cover, just unfortunately with Taylor being such a shambles fitness wise, he's had to play an awfully lot more than he really should have been doing and obviously gets found out. It wouldn't bother me were we to keep him, he's more than adequate for a 4th choice CB imo. Think he showed once we signed Mapou that he can come in when called upon for the odd game here and there and do a job without much a of a fuss, it’s just when that odd game here and there stretches to a long run in the side that he gets crucified.

Just seen a toon fan ask that IndyKaila who he thought was best for Newcastle transers...his reply....COLIN! Then goes on to back up his choice by saying he's read through Colin's tweets and he's ok, fans need to give him a break

    Gervinho

Think he started off decent enough then went back to being shit. Too much of an expenisve gamble imo. No doubt he's better than what we currently have but for the price being mooted, wouldn't go near it.
  19. After having a little look on their forum it seems the general feeling is that 'Chungy' had a decent season and is still a big fan favourite but hasn't got to the form he was at before the injury. They would love to keep him but if a big offer (not sure what they’d class as a big offer) came in they would sell but they can't see many big offers coming in on recent form. Make of that what you will...
  20. Sign this type of player, boost your PR in Korea. Two birds, one stone and all that. Surprised Ashley hasn't made one of these commercial signings already. He's a decent player to be fair. Not sure how he has fared since the injury though.
  21. It's because it's just logical, anyone would do it.

We had a poor season. We have creative players with likes of Ben Arfa/Cabaye/Marveaux. We are still desperate to add to this but i still feel we need another goalscorer on our books and if Bent was happy to come and play that roll of being 2nd to Cisse (personally don't think he would) i'd have him.

Yeah i see where you are coming from regarding the service but just having one goalscorer at the club just isn't enough.
