Arbeloa and Ramos were both blatant fouls to try and stop Neymar/Oscar from a very good goal scoring chance and could be deemed lucky however neither were as malicious as Oscar's. Arbeloa and Ramos both just sort of clipped there man and bundled them to the ground to act like it was just a collision whereas Oscar knew exactly what he was doing and that was to damage Iniesta, poor lad, was 1 man against 11 and he was still getting the shit kicked out of him all night.

An absolute cunt of a so called tackle though was Oscar on Iniesta. Just ran up behind him and booted the back of his leg, no intention at all to get the ball. That kind of stuff doesn't merit a place on a football pitch. Iniesta didn't react or make a big thing of it which the ref therefore felt never even deserved a yellow, aaaaaaful.

Yeah, it was a bit sad seeing Xavi just essentially out of breath. Needs a good amount of time off before the new season. How many starts would you expect him to make next season? 30? 40? He'll still get 40's, especially with them allowing Tiagho to leave who often came in to give Xavi a rest. Xavi is 34ish and sometimes it's best to just move on no matter how influential you are around the team or how good of a career you've had. Unfortunately Xavi's time is slowly coming to an end yet i can't see Barca nor Spain doing anything about it. He’ll still be in that WC 2014 starting 11 without doubt. Which is a shame really with the talent coming through they deserve to be allowed to step up to the mark. I’d get the axe on a fair few of the current members of the team personally, I really do think it could do with a big shake up.

Iniesta was still simply stunning last night. Actually felt sorry for him. His mate Xavi went into hiding and just left him to carry the team on his own. Think it's time for Spain to inject new blood in to the side with likes of Isco, Thiago, Martinez.

We get dragged in to rumours far too easily, i think that is also part of our problem rather than pointing fingers at Ashley when other clubs sign a player who the press say we have been interested in.

I maxed that bitch of an MBS offer out with Djok. Any fucker who attempts an upset on Djok before the final with Murray will be assassinated!

Barcelona cast offs

surely a low blow posting that picture?

Snap. He should just find the door and walk straight out. I like Thiago, he has balls for trying to do so. First team football, in their favoured position, if Barca can't provide that for them, another club will.

Surprised Man City haven't entered calculations after missing out on Isco. I think Madrid have got the better player out of Isco and Thiago imo.

Ince/Redmond maybe only attracting the likes of Norwich/Cardiff/Swansea but i still wish we would throw ourselves in the mix and compete. Either of these two would improve us in some way shape or form. Don't mind if they head off to Liverpool for more money or something but these are s*** clubs we should look to overpower in the transfer market if they are wrapping up a deal for a good prospect fairly cheaply. Yeah, but what I mean is, is he actually that good? Presumably everyone has run the rule over him and decided to leave it. I see where you're coming from. Personally i can't say for sure he if Ince is worth the hype or not, i've only seen him myself a handful of times, but he has certainly looked an exciting player of what i've seen. Think the biggest gamble is the step up to the Prem and whether he would improve for the step up. When you look around the league though, it's hardly beaming with talent to suggest that either of these couldn't handle the step up. I don't think searching the French market is hampering our search over here as we picked up Bigi after a decent season in the championship and took the gamble on Gosling (gamble lost).
-
Yeah because everyone is going to be scrambling to use it on him when needed

First rule of betting: Don't bet on Portugal. This did actually cross my mind. Then i thought, hang on a minute, it's like playing footy with a massive cunt, then hearing news his younger brother is coming along the following week and already creating yourself an unfavourable impression of him, when really the younger brother could be a lovely lad and nothing like his cunt of a brother. So i went off this theory and gave the Portugal youngsters a chance and they turned out to be cunts...just like the seniors.

Portugal against South Korea cost me a few pennies last night. Really thought 11/10 was great value for Portugal. They beat Nigeria 3-2. South Korea beat Cuba 2-1. Nigeria then beat Cuba 3-0, the form was in the bag for a Portugal win! Nevermind, i'm thinking Turkey tonight to beat Columbia to cover my losses

That's who i mentioned yesterday who i wanted us to sign, absolute joke we haven't bothered to at least put ourselves in the hunt for him. 2 million is a bargain for a decent English prospect, would have really liked to see him here and he's a certain upgrade on Sammy and Obertan.

Can only assume he's made no impression at all in the reserve set up. Was never a fan of Abeid when he played and didn't see enough of Amalf to judge. Abeid had a good spell on loan in Scotland as well, suppose that doesn't really count for anything as the league is so shit. Unless your Tim Krul and you're stopping 3-0 defeats from being highly embarrassing score lines in which you’ve been very impressive.

I don't think Spain even got out of second gear last night. They were through, conditions were apparently awful with the heat, you could see the pressing was nowhere near the standard it was against Uruguay, thought Nigeria exploited them with quick breaks in numbers, using the pace of Musa to good effect. They looked decent enough but the end product from them was inexcusable all tournament. Of the tournament so far, i still think Spain are by far the ones that the rest of the contenders need to beat.
-
They looked weak defensively last night you mean? Cavani Suarez hardly got a sniff in the first game. It was a beautiful performance all around. So Nigeria created a fair few chances last night but I’d think this was more due to complacency yet they still won 3-0. Still the team to beat for me regardless of the formation. Teams are going to struggle to win if they don't have the ball, they are restricted to quick counters.

That's the real problem most people have with him, plus his association with Wise back when they were at Leeds. Personally i don't really care. If I was going to go on a night out or invite one of them round for dinner, maybe Pardew would be the better choice. But to manage and coach a football team I'd pick Poyet every time. Gus (round for dinner) for me like. But when you couldn't finish your dinner, he would just make jokes of you for it and spoil your dinner party?

You can't compete with Delia's pie. I'd invest in it.

AND PARDS WILL TAKE US HIGHER....

We've sent out Inman on loan who has been fantastic but you just know his future isn't going to be with us as he hasn't been given a single look in with regards to the first team at any point. Best he can hope for is being sent out on loan again next season rather just dwindling away in our reserve side.

I can't see why we haven't looked in to bidding for Redmond, been getting quoted 2/3 million. Peanuts in this day and age for a winger who is English and looking a decent prospect. Lee Clarke would obviously whisper in his ear to sign for us too
