  1. I don’t find those quotes too worrying other than the fact our transfer approach is incredibly flawed but I do agree with not overpaying for people who aren’t quite right. I just think the issues are to do with issues bigger than this window, for whatever reason we’ve abandoned a successful transfer strategy and it’s very unclear why. I’d like to know why
  2. 100%, they clearly thought that we wouldn’t sell as we’ve been very consistent on that. Hard to believe Isak wouldn’t have told them in private his plans but who knows, they needed to act quickly as we would have signed Ekitike and now they’re in a position where they don’t want / need Ekitike and Isak as they can’t field them both along with Salah
  3. If that’s where we’re at then there’s no scenario where he can go this summer. He’ll go for at least that next summer with more bidders. Would prefer that he rots than go for way under his value. We all know he wouldn’t rot anyway, he’d play a full season for us
  4. We ready for another day in the trenches lads and lasses?
  5. It’s already normalised now, no one’s kicking up a fuss, it’s barely news. Within a few months there’ll be a new accountancy trick and another one after that. It will never stop
  6. If we were ever going to sell him this window it would have needed to be early and an offer we couldn’t possibly turn down, e.g. £200m Isak and other clubs have precisely zero negotiating cards. If he wants to come back with his tail between his legs, he can but he doesn’t deserve any love from the fans
  7. It has genuinely affected me like, I’ve been ratty as fuck, super irritable since this news broke
  8. As if he has a clue, fucking clown of a person who makes a living out of being a sycophant
  9. Going to end up with football islands around the world “Come to NUFC island, we promise there won’t be any nonceing.”
  10. At this stage though, agreeing a pay rise for a player who clearly desperately wants away would be a sickener. Fairly sure we’d have sorted one with Mitchell gone now but Isak’s fucked it
  11. Then back in Europe within one season for a massively reduced fee. What a shambolic state the sport is in
  12. Aye, let’s not lose our heads here. On the pitch we’re fine, off the pitch we’re a mess. Can’t wait to fuck all the off the pitch stuff off in a few weeks. It’s fucking wank
  13. I think he has some good attributes to his game for sure, his head is the worst part in terms of decision making but I think he has a lot of potential to play both the 10 role and as an out and out striker. But he needs a lot of work, couldn’t ask for a better manager than Howe but if he did come we’d have to be incredibly patient with him
  14. Aye, no one is paying close to that. If he does go, the max it’ll be will be £50m with add ons but I think it’ll be less
  15. Personally think Jackson is a significantly better alternative to DCL and Watkins and I actually think he may be a better fit for us than Sesko. There’s no way he should go for over £40m though
  16. Going for the Minteh flip. I really don’t like loans. It’s a ridiculous way for the better teams to capitalise further on their existing advantages. Just outlaw them, would solve a huge amount of football’s problems
  17. What the fuck is happening to the game
  18. Looking forward to Jack Rudoni turning us down close to deadline day now
  19. No one appears to want to come here if other teams are in for them. I know it’s normally cartel teams but Man U beating us to a player in their current state would be disgusting. Why are we so unattractive to players?
