Absolutely desperate for the season to start, can’t remember a season where I’ve been this up for it
-
I honestly have no fucking idea what is going on at Chelsea. Its like a reality TV football show with players being voted off after shorter and shorter periods
-
Interested to see how Muddy gets on this season, think Sancho’s done at Man U unless something miraculous happens. Scamacca was shite, so glad we didn’t get involved there. Out of all the huge money transfers that have gone on so far in this window I’m absolutely desperate for some of them to tank, Caicedo probably being top of the list for me
-
Has the quality of scouting, the length of time spent reviewing a player and the amount of data out there dramatically reduced howler signings? There are fewer flops nowadays right?
-
Shiny teeth nonce: “Here lads, we’re fucking penniless like, that £100m was all smokes and mirrors. We’re basically living on the street. That Lavia lad, what are we saying, £45m?”
-
This Caicedo lad sounds like a dickhead to me
-
Don’t think anyone will ever surpass my love for KK. He’s probably one of my favourite people ever. Bobby is special too but KK is just another level for me. Even if Howe proves to be the most successful manager for NUFC ever, it won’t knock KK off my most loved
-
Maddison will do very well at Spurs but their season is going to go poorly. I think Ange will get them over-performing but their squad as a whole isn’t good enough to get anywhere near the champions league
-
Football is absolutely mental. What the fuck is going on? How on earth is Caicedo going for £110m? I rate him but that fee makes zero sense. The game off the pitch has become an absolute pantomime madness
-
Happy with a win, I think we will win. Going to be a great day to start the season. Can’t fucking wait
-
What were MON’s tactics? I just remember him getting a quality wedge to spend at all his clubs but I have barely any recollection of the type of football he played. It wasn’t hoof it and it wasn’t about quality passing, what did he go for?
-
Aye, we were jilted at the altar
-
Be surprised if we’ve not offered a generous deal but if he has Real Madrid sniffing his expectations will be more than what our wage bill / FFP can cope with. Hopefully we find a middle ground
-
Two years at or near his level, with a little bit of waning. Think there’ll be a significant drop off after that
-
Really hope we get to see Foden fit and starting this year. He’s an unbelievably good player but last season was partly a write-off
-
I think overall I’m ok with Spurs selling Kane for an exorbitant fee. It would be funny as fuck to see him stay and leave for nothing next year and it would bury Spurs but I just don’t think they’ll spend the money well
-
This has got rest-of-the-window saga written all over it
-
Chelsea locking up some FFP gunge there, think at this point in time I hate them more than Liverpool. Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool always vie for my most hated team
-
Find this big seven stuff a nonsense really. The sooner they shut up about it the better. Hopefully Brighton have a good season and although I dislike Villa I’d prefer for them to take a top seven place over the other “big seven”. Don’t want to be grouped together with the vile institution which is Chelsea FC

Isak all day for me. Isak needs to start every minute he’s fit

He was but it’s one of those difficult things to define. A bit like Federer on a court compared with Sampras. RVP’s volleying technique is maybe my favourite ever
-
What is going on in the transfer market today? Teams panicking because the season’s about to kick off?
-
RVP purely for his volleying ability. I’m being a bit harsh on Rooney as he was an exceptional player and I’d take Rooney as a 20 year old over any version of RVP but over a career, I just loved RVP’s ability to strike a ball
-
I meant more in terms of close control and trapping a ball etc. I call that technique. Dribbling I tend to consider it a separate thing if you’re a footballer like Neymar or CRonaldo but I think it also falls under technique when it relates to those footballers who are amazing dribblers due to outstanding close control
-
I think there probably was encouragement but I think he probably is caught in two minds. I think he’d happily stay or go and he’d prefer the decision was made by someone else. He hasn’t pushed this move through but he’s been open to it is my reading on it all. I just think he doesn’t want to be painted as a disloyal player to the Spurs fans
