Why are we hearing all about these Leicester links when they did nothing in the summer? Seems odd that they’d go big in January when this season is already a write off and the best they can hope for is 9th or 10th

Someone needs to spark him out and then do the salt sprinkle on him, he’s a monumental nobhead

I agree that he drops too deep sometimes, and it’s especially frustrating when a team like Bournemouth quickly scramble to get 11 men behind the ball like they did last night. It’s fine to drop deeper if he’s not got so many men to beat. Saying that, I thought he played well yesterday and had one lovely pass that he cut back that was almost perfect. I think he’s getting better at those passes, it’s a really simple part of his game which he should be getting right 7/8 times out of 10 given the space he creates but in the past he’s messed the vast majority of these passes up by not thinking about making the pass or messing up on the weighting of it because it’s not a natural part of his game. Hopefully Eddie can keep bringing him on

Lautaro must have had one of the all-time worst world cups

Outstanding video, love to see it

Hope Brendan’s left in floods of tears after this one. Joelinton on the scoresheet please

Botman is most likely an AI version of a footballer from the future. He’s so machine like in every way, his defending, his facial expressions, his way of talking

Am absolutely knackered and haven’t got the energy to do a trawl or find the highlights right now. I was in level 7 but we should have had a stonewall penalty for handball no? And was Wilson off? I couldn’t understand why it took so long for the linesman / referee to call it. It must have been marginal as fuck if it was off. Thoughts on the game: Trippier’s passing was very loose, as was Willock’s a few times. Bruno was back to controlling the midfield and big Jow did some of his usual tidy-up duties. Thought we held onto the ball too long looking for the perfect pass which was never on as they had 11 men behind the ball but overall can’t complain as we controlled the game and were bound to be rusty after a period off. now, let’s do Leicester

Did PSV get taken over by Todd Boehly? What kind of wages are those, that must be a typo, no?

£45m looks an absolute steal for Gakpo

Recommendations for where to go for a curry or Chinese before the match tonight in town. Just after a decent meal and the place not being absolutely rammed

Is football popular in Qatar? Among the population generally? if it is then I guess I’m pleased for the average person there that they got something really special even if it came at great cost to many people. However, the Qatari authorities didn’t look at the World Cup and think “wow, we love football so much, let’s bring this here to celebrate the game and do something amazing for the country.” They looked at it and thought “How can we get Qatar on the map at all costs.” I guess a lot of football federations might be similar, filled with people who care more about money than football but I can’t wait for the next World Cup when there’s less of this shit to take the shine off

Throwing the ball away was a bit much for me, but all for a bit of goading and sledging

Finally starting to come down from the anxiety that France might win that unjustly. I hope Messi continues to play for Argentina as he’s still the best playmaker in the world and as a fan I want to get every last drop out of him before he retires but for his sake I can imagine that retirement would feel like bliss when you’re at the peak of achievements
-
Also, 18 international goals for Messi in 2022. That close to being a record?
-
I’d do it
-
Think I wanted Argentina to win it so much that it took away from my enjoyment of the spectacle when France got back into it. Can’t wait to watch this match again in the future
