It’s been a shite tournament so far. I’ve not watched all the games as I just started a new job and have a newborn but of the 8-10 games I’ve watched they’ve almost all been awful

Japan have been abysmal at shielding the ball and being first to the ball when they already have a headstart. Also been absurdly bad at lofted passes, always too much on them
-
This is exactly the type of performance that Japan are known for, absolutely enraging
-
Japan had an absolutely amazing opportunity to go through today and now they’ve got a decent chance of being dumped out when they play Spain. What a joke

There have been a lot of shit boring games so far and this one can join that collection

Don’t think there’s any chance of Southgate dropping Sterling unless it’s to give him a rest. He’ll be first choice all tournament
-
Croatia always seem to have a massive chip on their shoulder and act like everyone thinks they’re shit. Proper siege mentality stuff every tournament

Worrying signs that Man U are looking a lot more coherent under Ten Hag

Klopp just going to hand in his notice when they’re taken over, is he?

Love Argentinian players for their technical ability, would be great to have one come to Newcastle and actually build a great career here

Wasn’t there loads of chat about him being incredibly humble when he broke through and not having the trappings of wanting to be a celeb footballer? There’s been a lot of bad press about him since the Real Madrid move fell through but have no idea if he’s a dick or not. Hanging out with Ivanka and Jared is as bad a look as you can get though

I thought you were from the USA Vinny, is that not the case?
-
The US moved the ball extremely well through defence into midfield and then midfield ran really well and passed quickly through the middle but didn’t manage to make as much of wide positions. They were missing both a great striker and a great winger. Overall though, technically they were very impressive and an incredibly organised side. England were generally awful everywhere apart from defence. Trippier and Saka linked up well a few times early on but apart from that it was so slow

A haunting game to watch, ghosts of international tournaments past
-
He’s definitely not developed in his time at Chelsea and if anything looks like he’s gone backwards. With a bit of Eddie coaching and confidence building I reckon he’d be a different player but I don’t think theres any chance he’ll be coming here

Mason Mount to kick Pulisic in the nads and at full-time Pulisic hands in a transfer request saying he’ll only go to NUFC
