  1. Love how understated he is whilst also being humble and confident at the same time. There’s not a manager I’d rather have than him at this club right now
  2. That scoring was hilarious like, Bruno somehow even with O’Brien, Trippier even with Williams. Colback scoring a point against anyone in our side
  3. Both of those players need a new start as their careers have either stalled or gone backwards at Chelsea. Would be delighted with either
  4. This season or next? Love this man’s ambition. Need to lock him down to a longer-term contract
  5. I know we didn’t bring him through but I can see Bondswell making it at least at championship level. Howe’s been very complimentary about Lucas de Bolle too hasn’t he?
  6. He wouldn’t be talking about Anderson this way unless he thought that he was quality and secondly that he thought that these comments would be helpful for him. We know from the gas boys that he has the makings of something special and Howe is the perfect manager to develop him more
  7. Nah man, we’ve got the new model of big Joe. Comes with a reinforced defensive shield and a turbo rocket shot. This model also has some of the previous faults removed from the last line, e.g. kicking ball into his own face
  8. Aye, I know it’s only been pre-season but I’ve rarely felt so strongly that someone will be amazing for us as Botman
  9. I think he’s looked better than ok and I think he can play a role for us this season. My main issue with keeping him is less about the team’s fortunes and more about whether his development would be better getting 90 min games in the championship
  10. He’ll probably be desperate to make an impact and will go in hard on someone. Let’s hope it’s Joelinton and big Jow cripples him
  11. Don’t think Howe wants loan players with no option to buy, which I agree with. Think he’d only look at a temporary loan deal for a player if we desperately needed someone in, in the last two days of the window

  13. Have Chelsea decided to sack off the super league and the premier league and just decided to buy 100 players and play in their own league? Bold new footballing model if so
  14. Yeah, this was extremely circumstance-specific. I think we saw the potential damage to a rival and we saw a player who had a very clear identity and history in the league. We know for sure based on everything associated with Howe that he’s not the type of player Howe would ordinarily go for. We also know that Howe is incredibly meticulous and so are people like Ashworth so we’ll never make another Wood signing. Not saying we won’t make mistakes but nothing like that
  15. Nickson and Ashworth getting drunk into the early hours ”Just don’t know where to turn now, just feel like packing the whole thing in. You just wonder sometimes, is it all worth it? I dunno, maybe it’s just the drink talking”
  16. Players like Bowen, Antonio, Cresswell, Rice and Fornals are all players who have improved a lot with West Ham. Rice is the main one they’ve brought through but as a 20 year old I’d be looking at how players have fared there in their early 20s when they’re developing. Anyway, I can’t argue with the fact it’s all business and that numbers on a sheet are the major factor nowadays. However, if I was looking at Everton seriously I’d want to know how they fared last season, did they look like a good place to play football and develop and the answer to that would be easy to come to
  17. It's impossible to know what's going on in someone else's head but if it was me and I was 20 years old, I would like to think that the thing that would mean the most to me would be developing to be the best player I could be. I'd be looking at clubs and coaches who have a track record of developing players and that would be a big motivating factor for me
  18. There’s more at play than just wages here. Is the team you’re going to, going to develop you as a player, as you’re only 20 years old. What’s the team dynamic like, the area you’re moving to etc. if the wage difference between the two clubs is huge then it’s understandable, if it’s not that far apart but Everton offer higher I think it’s a poor choice to go to a team that only just survived relegation last season and have lost their best player
  19. Sounds like a clown to go to Everton over West Ham unless the wage difference is insane. Could be enjoying some sweet wages in the championship in a year’s time
  20. The striker targets we’re looking at seem like versatile strikers though who can play across the line. They’ve all been young players with room for development too. I think it’s an absolutely key signing, both as cover but also for offering something different as well
  21. I’m a big fan of Maddison and I think he has the ability to make us a top 8 side but he’s not an absolute priority in terms of his position. Striker and potentially a pure right winger with pace would still be my key targets. Personally think that Willock will show more this season and I’m interested if Almiron can translate some of his pre-season form. The absolute number one priority is a striker though
  22. Just glad to see Chelsea haven’t folded to be honest, was gutted that such a classy club were in trouble when that Saint Roman was rudely bounced out the club and there were worrying reports about their future but it looks like the days of them loaning out fifty players could be here to stay, phew
  23. Yeah, he looked a wonderkid a few years back when he burst on the scene at 17 I think it was. Haven’t followed him at all since then though, did his career stall?
