you make a fair point Hindu, about Obertan. He is not deserving of the abuse he gets and I think his main problem is concentration and confidence. Something which can and will improve. Hatem played the first couple of games back from a year out with an injury and he was ok, then he had some good moments against the best teams in the league. Unless he's appalling in training, I don't see how he is being beaten by a couple of unproven youngsters

exactly, I couldn't give a shit if he didn't score, or do any assists or even if he lost the bal. The point is, he has more to his game than many of our other players and over time this will eventually come through

I'd be furious not frustrated. Sammy and Haris showed something in training? Hatem's shown it on the pitch for years, comes back from injury and has some moments. Haris and Sammy have changed no games for us..... I'm sick of harping on about it but it's my number one gripe with both Pardew and the current set up
  5. Balotelli is a great player and I find him really likeable. I've always liked people who don't give a shit. I like Jamie O'Hara's attitude on the pitch and think he is underrated for what he does. I think Mceachran will become one of my favourite players. In the past I've been a big fan of Henry and Torres for the way they singlehandedly dragged their teams at times

Load of wank if you ask me.he's shown signs of his former self,it's not even like he's been a shadow.I think pardew sees him only as second striker or in the hole.wise up man,he's a versatile player who can affect the game from a number of positions.as long as he's on the ball he can/will affect the game.think pard is just trying to dodge bullets there
  7. Agree about the phenomenon and messi in my lifetime.I cant imagine anyone better than messi that I'll see before I die.he's just incredible.the phenomenon was deadly, could just turn it on and kill teams by himself.Cron is weird because he's obviously a ridiculous talent but I don't enjoy watching him and don't think he comes close as a 'footballer' to messi and the real ronaldo

    Alan Pardew

Where was this post earlier on in the season when we were winning? In fairness to mick, he's always said Pardew was wank. I don't think Pardew's a great manager and I certainly don't think he's a poor one. But he has a major problem with rating players. He sees things that other people don't see, I don't know if it was baseless rumours but I remember hearing that he was really keen on Carlton Cole among others...

Maybe Raylor is better than Santon Maybe Shola is better than Best Maybe Obertan is better than Ben Arfa These are all situations he's persisted with in the past only for it to be proved wrong. Do you not think it's possible that Pardew just makes bad decisions on players? I don't understand your point. With Raylor, it was clear that he was being kept in the team because we were doing well and he offers a lot from set pieces. Somewhat understandable but I agree Santon is a class above. Best starts of Shola every time he's fit pretty much so I don't understand that point. And maybe Ben Arfa is better than Obertan on the right, but it's by no means a guarantee. I would like to see him try it though. We were doing well with Raylor in spite of him not because of him. Thanks for the goals but defensively there was never anything there to say he deserved his place. My point with Shola over Best was to do with last season, how he persisted with Shola when Best was evidently better and Best only got in due to injuries. We're not talking about guarantees, I would happily have Ben Arfa in and have him do the same amount as Obertan right now, which is nothing. Because at least you know, you've got a very good player getting match fit again. I'm not trying to be a dick by focusing on it like this but I just think Pardew makes big mistakes with personnel

    Alan Pardew

Before pretty much every match someone will make their prediction and state HBA as a goalscorer. A fair few do seem to believe when he plays he will either score or get an assist in every game. I agree that he should've come on today, but also agree with Cajun that there is an expectation from many that he will do something every time he plays, which he won't. The goalscorer thing is just a piss take. People would like it to happen but people aren't banking on it happening. They just want to see the player with the most talent on the ball in our team. Is that too much to ask?

Was worried about Pardew's selections when he used to put Shola on instead of Best, only until Shola to get injured and Best nail his first team spot. It was like he couldn't see that Best was better until that point. Now, we've seen him keep playing Raylor when he literally shat the bed against City. His balls just fucking leapt off his sack and he hasn't had them back since but Santon only got in because of injuries elsewhere. And here, we have to put up with Obertan week after week and then Sammy (who is going to be class but isn't there yet) instead of Ben Arfa who I promise you would be performing quality if he was getting more and more game time. I was furious last week and I'm just as annoyed now. Not just about these decisions, but more about the fact that I really thought Pardew was a top manager. He speaks well, he motivates well, he has good plans but his rating of players is way off. No way would top managers leave Ben Arfa out like this and let Obertan play...
  13. Yeah, and he wouldn't be if Pardew hadn't been forced into it. Disgraceful. ahh, I see Dave's already posted something about this. Gonna say it again, Pardew and his choices are really worrying for the future
  14. Disgraceful, watch him get sold and be fucking class for whoever he goes to. Makes me sick
  15. So fucking predictable. Santon is out in place of Raylor and everyone starts wondering if he's not performing in training. Then comes on and looks quality on the ball. Ben Arfa is not getting games and people wonder if he's not properly match fit? Are you fucking kidding me, how is he going to get match fit with his arse on the bench, and on top of that, in the games he has played, he's showed some quality flashes. just infuriating
  16. Good point but if tiote is angling for a move (we have no idea really what he wants)then mceachran is a fantastic talent.his left foot is brilliant
  17. Love mceachran.would take £20m plus mceachran.still,it's not what we need.tiote's role is second only to cool's in the side
  18. Have absolutely no problem whatsoever with him leaving. Not good enough on the ball, defensively he's passable against poor teams. I'm not going to slate him and call him an awful player like many did at the start of the season but he's certainly not good enough to push us on. If we are pushing on.... it's difficult to tell right now
  19. Think Fergie will develop into a really good player. He's excellent on the ball, haven't seen enough of him on defensive duties but if he could go LB in a year's time and Santon to RB, we'd potentially be strong at full backs. We'll just have to see how Ferguson develops
  20. Stupidly thought he was wank for a few years before realising he's an excellent player. He's far better than Carrick and Anderson in my opinion. Good luck Darren
  21. I read those comments as a joke. I thought that some website was doing it as a spoof of his recent outbursts? Are they real? If so, then he has lost it. I had respect for him standing up for his team but talking shit is weak and an indication that he can't handle the pressure

    Alan Pardew

I just think he gets ideas in his head and becomes incredibly stubborn about them. I think that's a weak quality in any person Edit: As an addition, I've lost faith in his selections. I don't think he always picks people based on their ability but based on systems that he thinks will work. I'm sorry but sometimes you just need to get your best players on the pitch in their best positions

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I'm livid about this. Really infuriating, we have a player that can open up defences, especially shit ones like Norwich. A player who can bring others into the game and he is left out for Obertan or Shola. Absolutely appalling decision making from Pardew. I'm attempting to control myself about it but it's so fucking annoying. If we had to play Obertan or Shola I could understand it, if B Arfa was injured or if we just didn't have him. But how on earth is he not getting a game when he's so much better on the ball than anyone else in our team? It's like the Santon situation, not getting games over Raylor? Just inexplicably poor
