    Sunderland...

I feel sorry for him, he's not a bad guy but he's completely the wrong man for the job. He doesn't have enough pace or skill in his midfield, has signed too many cloggers and there doesn't seem to be any system to their play. Theoretically, with Sess and Bendtner they should be able to create but they just don't move it around well as a team. I don't wish anything bad on Bruce or Sunderland but surely they must realise that chanting 'Fat Geordie Bastard' is only going to make things worse. They all seem to be conspiring to fuck the club up, with the manager and fans turning on one another. I prefer the premier league with Boro and Sunderland in it, just not when things get too aggro on the pitch or off it among the fans. No need.
  2. This is still really hurting. Just thinking about all the time he had left, all the people he'd had such a great impact on and all the people he could have helped. Just a horrible reminder about how things are often not what they seem
  3. This game's got a Steven Taylor goal written all over it. 3-2 to the lads. Ramires is looking quality for them and I think Meireles is improving. Sturridge is a worry but I think our midfield can match theirs no problem. Can see it being a really open game

    LOL at Lolro

When they're "rationalising" by firing modestly paid journalists and backroom people, the obscene amounts they pay to Lawrenson,Hansen,Shearer are a disgrace. None of them add anything to the programme. I'd say cut the bullshit, show more highlights and save money at the same time. This, waste of time. Just a round up of cliches from people who often know far less about the teams they're talking about than fans do.
  5. Just started to hit me now, shocking news. Loved his attitude on the pitch and his game, always wanted him to succeed at Wales and was pleased he was getting them results. Just horrible

    Sunderland...

Can we not swap Wireside for Sir Ricky Sbragia, I fucking love the guy. Really tempted to create an RTG account just so I can read through his posts.
  7. What a bunch of pathetic cunts. Who gives a shit man, it happens all the time to every team and finally when it happens to Man U, this sort of shit happens. The double standards are the 'travesty', not the decision making. Beautiful that this could be the game that takes the title away from them come the end of the season.
  8. Its rare I go into a game thinking we'll lose but I think we will, anything else and I'll be ecstatic.just hope we don't give away any soft goals and attack positively.can't wait for it whatever happens

    Hatem Ben Arfa

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I like Ronaldo, don't like CT. Would like to know whether Arfa has made it completely clear he thinks he should be played through the middle or Pards has. That is a murky topic. Pards says he doesn't think Arfa has the relish for it but as has been made clear a few times on this forum, he's desperate for minutes and when Sammy was brought on instead of him for Everton, I'm sure he would have been desperate to get on. I'm really undecided on whether I'd go for Best,Ba with Arfa on the wing if it was an option or just stick Obertan in there with Arfa just behind Ba. I really like Best but I think Arfa will play his best football and make more for the team through the middle. On the wing I could see him just drifting in more and either and getting brought down or going for shots. Either way, Arfa has to start
  11. Depending on the grade of the injury, the lowest grade (grade 1) can take between 2 and 10 weeks for the injury to fully heal. Recovery times for grades 2 and 3 are difficult to predict because of the amount of damage done can take weeks to several months. It is difficult to apply pressure on the injured leg for at least a few days. From Wiki
  12. medial collateral ligament? Edit: will look it up
  13. Wouldn't trust Wikipedia in this case. Been absolute class at centre back for Montpellier. Would be a terrific signing. Fear he may be a bit on the expensive side though. Last year of contract or not?

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Agree with this and have done all along. Couldn't care less if that makes me a fanboy. Coloccini is a world class defender, Tiote is a world class defensive midfielder and Ben Arfa is a world class playmaker. I don't think we have any other world class players but these are the three that cement us a good team. Once Ben Arfa rediscovers his top form and it will happen providing he has no major injury concerns we will be a far a better team because of it. I think Parky mentioned that Ben Arfa was/could be as good as Nasri. I disagree, I think he's better than Nasri or at least will prove to be when he returns to top form

    Hatem Ben Arfa

it's the fact he enjoys it so much that pisses me off. And the fact he gets us all talking about him, I know it's counter-productive to even make this claim but if we had some sort of board solidarity to not get involved in debates with him regarding Jonas and Ben Arfa, now even Tiote, it would take away his evident troll enjoyment
  16. Watched it,he looked unbelievable,burst of pace,great passing,powerful shot.shame it's in the wrong league

    Sammy Ameobi

I honestly can't remember Shola's earliest performances for us so you're probably right but from the time I can remember his performances I can never remember having any confidence in him to either run with the ball, trap it, pick a pass, stay onside. He can do each of the aforementioned things but only on an incredible incosistent basis. Whenever Sammy was passed the ball at pace I braced myself because had it been Shola, he'd have lost the ball several times and he wouldn't have been able to go on the runs Sammy did. You may well be right about the Shola who started his career with us but for the last seven/eight seasons I've seen very little to convince me he's a good player

    Sammy Ameobi

Traps a ball incredibly well, already looks better technically than his brother. I'm really pleased for him, they're a great family and whatever I may think of Shola as a footballer, he's a good lad. Think we'll see a few moments of magic from Sammy throughout the season but he'll probably not get another start until the FA cup rounds if Obertan comes back fit
  19. Really like Joe Cole, his interview on bbc sport is decent. Hope he does well and either stays on the continent or comes back and leaves liverpool
  20. Love the look of that team, fair enough Sammy is poor defensively but up front with him and arfa I think we can cause trouble
  21. He just wants an end to any bad press. The guy is just a pathetic ameoba

    U23s & Academy

Would have loved to go to this. If anyone is going from the forum and it's not too much bother, would love a bit of post-match synopsis. Enjoy it to whoever goes
  23. Maybe in an attempt to further complicate things, Stu has created an extra account with which he's chosen only to troll himself?
