I don’t think that playing well already in the premier league is a guarantee that it’ll transfer to a new team, especially for someone like DCL who depends a lot on the people around him

I don't think anyone is signing him for £30m as his contract is until Jun '25, as such, I think he'll go for something close to £50m. Do I think he's worth £50m? No, I don't. I'm not a scout and don't know the valuations of players on the continent that could be signed for between £30m - £50m but I know that English players and players that play for England come at a stupid premium. If he was available for £30m then I think it could be a decent signing but only if there's a lot of pace around him.

Anything close to £50m is absolutely mental. Even at £30m I think it's questionable. He's a good finisher with really good movement and he's had a couple of nice goal-scoring spells. I think with the right players around, e.g. pace, so that he can make runs through the middle he will continue to get goals. I think Howe could get a decent return out of him but I'm sure we could sign a more complete player from the continent

I partly agree, he’s not amazing technically but his pace has always given him a big edge. He’s also got a great attitude but he’s not the best striker of the ball and is poor like you say when he has too much time to think. He’d be great for us under Howe and he’d be great in certain systems but I’m not convinced he’ll be great at Chelsea. Still, he’s got a few years left of being rapid so maybe that’s enough

He’ll be an outstanding signing for them. He always gives everything, can play multiple roles and will get goals. I think we’re at a stage where we can just about get top quality from abroad. I don’t think we can get it yet from the top teams in the premier league
