  1. He obviously played a major part in them all, because of the level of input that he has in the process. That counts for quite a lot. There is good reason to believe he was also pivotal in pushing for Tonali, on the basis of what came out in the press at the time, with him being lauded as a "dream target". That being said, my feeling is that the others were likely earmarked by Nickson to a significant extent. I remember when Bruno signed it was revealed that Nickson had been tracking him for a long time. I think possibly with Botman, too. It baffles me a bit when people cite the above names as "Howe signings" except with respect to the fact that every deal we make is a Howe signing in a certain obvious sense.
  2. Aye, that's the one. Have to think if we are interested our offer must be in that kind of ballpark
  3. Linked with Olympiakos forward Charalampos Kostoulas in the Greek press - preparing a "huge" offer https://www.sport-fm.gr/article/podosfairo/superleague1/tsanakas-etoimazei-terastia-prosfora-gia-kwstoula-i-nioukastl/5055435

    James Trafford

That's all that matters for the immediate term. He didn't look like a complete, PL ready goalkeeper. Doesn't mean he won't be excellent in the future - or maybe he has come a long way in the last year.

Don't think Trafford is a better option than Pope at this moment in time. Would like to keep Pope if Trafford is to be the GK signing.
  6. Not sure that this necessarily follows - very much hope it wouldn't be the case

He probably just read Minhosa's post a few hours back and decided to fabricate from there. Pretty sure he got caught out copying info from N-O before

  9. Would be seriously underwhelmed with that as a Leicester fan.

  11. Trafford doesn't have much experience of excelling at the highest level. Done well for England u-21s by all accounts and is now coming off the back of a great season in the second tier (albeit one anchored in a very solid defensive setup in front of him). In the PL he looked deficient, truthfully - which isn't to say he won't go on to have a great career. The main reason to be enthusiastic about Trafford would probably simply be the fact that we had chosen him - and our recruitment has been stellar ever since the takeover.

  13. Maybe I'm being too generous, but I think this might be it. Very strange to do the apologetic gesture first and then start carrying on the way he did afterwards otherwise - all of it was directed to the away end.

Don't think he would want to go to SA at all honestly. Could see a West Ham or Fulham taking a chance on him - maybe. I feel for him as he is a better player than he's shown lately. Out of form and without regular game time a move might be best for all parties. Understand those who would keep him for depth, though.
