  1. Hypothetically, in what circumstances would you not want to? It's such a small area. Check this out, thought it was f***ing genius myself and then the c*** linesman flags to get it ruled out after letting play carry on a good ten seconds. Doesn't need to leave the quadrant btw, becomes active as soon as touched after the whistle. Was interested to see if anyone else knew the rule as I wasn't sure initially. Rooney and Giggs did the same trick against Chelsea. Disallowed by the ref too. Edit: Their ball was outside the quadrant and the linesman raised his flag immediately. Not quite the same situation I guess.
  2. GW9: Crystal Palace 0-3 Arsenal Aston Villa 1-2 Everton Liverpool 3-1 West Brom Man Utd 2-0 Stoke City Norwich 2-1 Cardiff City Southampton 2-0 Fulham Sunderland 1-2 Newcastle Chelsea 1-1 Man City Swansea 2-1 West Ham Tottenham 2-0 Hull City
  3. For C&P GW9: Crystal Palace v Arsenal Aston Villa v Everton Liverpool v West Brom Man Utd v Stoke City Norwich v Cardiff City Southampton v Fulham Sunderland v Newcastle Chelsea v Man City Swansea v West Ham Tottenham v Hull City
  4. Luuk de Jong doesn't seem to have done well in Germany so far.
  5. It's either our current crest or the Red Bull template though. I personally can't accept the latter and believe that most of us won't too.
  6. They went to that extent to put their initials on the club's name. There won't be any doubt they will be looking to put their brand on any PL club they buy as they did for their 4 other clubs.
  7. What are the rules regarding a name change like? The PL rejected Hull City's change and the last known instance I know of was MK Dons some time back. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2387625/Premier-League-refuse-endorse-Hull-City-Tigers-change.html Kit colours changes are obviously within the club's right seeing that Cardiff changed theirs. Fwiw changes to the club name, colours and crest are a no go for me. I wouldn't fancy a stadium change to Red Bull Arena as they have done for their other clubs but could take it as a compromise. Red Bull Newcastle, RB colours and RB Newcastle crest though, they can take their money elsewhere. The moment we allow that, we effectively compromise any remaining morsel of our club identity imo.

    Sir Alex Ferguson

He won't get sacked in the next 2, 3 years unless it's something disastrous like no CL qualification or trophies for those years. They will give him ample time to stamp his mark even if the fans want his blood.
  9. Enrique, Zabaleta not playing means MYM as my 2nd sub will come in. Travesty that Gerrard get the 3 bonus points.
  10. Was very naive of him to pull at Suarez who was always going to make the most out of it. Tiote though, what was he doing coming back from so far back, subsequently playing Suarez onside. If he had some positional sense, MYM would not have got caught out.

    Steven Taylor

They've only like 11 matches together and that mostly along a new right back, backup left back and goalie. You'll find that it generally takes much more than that to form a solid back 4.
  12. i know we still have spent nothing but i think we all probabily agree there is some intent here My source was the son of our Derek looks like he was right DDUK was right on that occasion tbf. Although how much Llambias is involved in Ashley's business atm including any potential sale of the club is questionable.
  13. Interestingly for all the cosmopolitan nature of the PL players, most clubs seem adverse to appointing managers outside the British Isles. http://i.imgur.com/xS7kvJ3.png We only had two 'foreign' managers in our entire history fwiw.
  14. Tbf I see nothing contrary in what he said. He should be well aware in his capacity that Januzaj is never going to play for England though.

Play for Brazil then. Too many loopholes to pick and choose which international country you want to play for imo. He already has done. He's been capped twice. I thought if you had a senior cap you couldn't play for anyone else? That's why Sterling made a pointless appearance last season to keep Jamaica away Playing in a friendly does not tie you down to that FA.

He won't be eligible under Home Nations rules anyway. Kinda pointless discussing or monitoring him when he won't be called up.
  17. Are we genuinely bad or is Lawro the real deal? He even finished in a decent position last season iirc. Edit: Lawro was 3rd/33 for 2012/13.
  18. GW8: Newcastle 1-3 Liverpool Arsenal 3-0 Norwich Chelsea 2-0 Cardiff City Everton 2-1 Hull City Man Utd 2-2 Southampton Stoke City 1-2 West Brom Swansea 2-2 Sunderland West Ham 1-2 Man City Aston Villa 0-2 Tottenham Crystal Palace 1-1 Fulham

    Alan Pardew

You don't think he deserves all the abuse he got for that game?

    Alan Pardew

    Is there? Yes there is.

    Alan Pardew

There's actually someone defending Pardew for the Reading game. Unbelievable.
  22. Reckon Nolan could make a decent manager after his playing career.
