  1. Harry was always going to save them. Looks that way now. They have some great momentum with a few plucky draws and those back-to-back wins. Villa on the other hand surely will go down. Despite an important win last week, they have no real drive with the few matches remaining.
  2. Love it that the benfiquistas have totally taken to the forum and not just the EL thread.
  3. QPR gonna get their 3rd win in a row. Villa has nothing to show for so far.
  4. Nathan Baker gets subbed off to a standing ovation in the 19th min according to commentator.
  5. Sammy and Fergie also in action today.
  6. That was before Fly Emirates became mainstream.
  7. When was Chelsea ever sponsored by Emirates?

    Moussa Sissoko

Correction, 3 assists in 6 games. 1 assist in every 2 games Which, of course, is misleading Technically 4 if you count the assist for the Cisse goal that was wrongly ruled offside.
  9. GW30: Everton 1-1 Man City Aston Villa 1-2 QPR Southampton 1-2 Liverpool Stoke City 1-2 West Brom Swansea 1-2 Arsenal Man Utd 3-0 Reading Sunderland 1-1 Norwich Tottenham 3-1 Fulham Chelsea 2-1 West Ham Wigan 2-2 Newcastle
  10. Would have been better for the players to attack the box and for him to cut it back from the byline. Those cut backs, one-twos around the box are so effective, it's surprising why we don't really do that. General movement was poor on Sunday though.
  11. Serie A clubs like to sack their managers. There's just no continuity whereas in the PL you have Ferguson, Wenger, Moyes as long-serving managers. The current longest serving manager in Serie A has like 3 years it seems. You do wonder if it has to do with the continental set-up as 'head coach' (+DOF and other roles) instead of the English-style 'manager' that Serie A find their head coaches more dispensable. The other rule which I can't ever understand is that a manager who resigned or was sacked in a Serie A season cannot be signed by another club. It severely limits the options a club has when seeking to find a new manager and they probably have to reconsider the same guy they sacked a few months ago. If it's meant to offer some form of security to a manager, then it's not working too well either. There were 20 managerial changes last season and 25 the season before that. It stands at 20 so far this season. Mental, even if Palermo accounts for a significant chunk of the number.
  12. As I got to the end I was thinking that was written by someone that knows us pretty well. Not the usual bullshit. Then I saw the writer: By Kristan Heneage. Who's that? Our very own Nixon. What's the craic with this Nixon? Haven't been active long enough to know.
  13. Assitsted the assist Ginger Xavi. http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/images/2013/0310/adamcampbellnewcastleuniteddebut20130310_205x285.jpg Clear resemblance to Scholes.

  15. Moyes blatantly going to do a hairdryer at half time. Neville gonna relive the 'worse midfield' nightmare.
  16. Is he playing for the Blues tomorrow? Get him to wear an Everton jersey (Neville preferred).
  17. Neville's nightmare continues with a bad tackle.
  18. Arsenal fan charged with throwing a banana at Gareth Bale. Could have killed Bale or caused him severe distress.
  19. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored again last night which makes it 7 consecutive matches (9 goals) he has scored in since ending his goal drought, and a total of 15 goals, 11 assists in 26 games this season so far. Get your checkbook out, Mike!
  20. It's a one-year extension though. I can still see him leaving for another club in the near future.
