He just seems to want to be the all-conquering hero, bombing all over the pitch saving the day. Strictly an outsider's view obviously, I don't watch him every week. That pretty much sums him up, tbh. If he had some brains in his head instead of just ego, he would have truly been the complete footballer. He was much more disciplined in the summer. Perhaps he has finally got an ounce or two of discipline, and can lay off the Hollywood balls. Injuries and his drop in energy levels probably 'convinced' him to take a more disciplined approach. I don;t think he can cover every single blade of grass like he used to. It's like you can go clubbing most days when you are young, but now prefer a coffee and a book as you get older.

Still nowhere near to a Spain call-up. Seems they have pretty much settled on their left back options.

How so? If we released him, i could understand us having to pay up his contract, but we didn't - we just made him available for free, but that happened a while before he left didn't it? And he still played the first two matches of last season for us before being signed by QPR? Same here. We gave him to QPR for free so they could give him his big wages. Where did this 'we paid up his remaining contract' come from?

How did Kolo get in ahead of Lescott. Worst ff week ever.

Switched Torres out for Rooney before the match. Torres got the points, Rooney didn't start and when he did come on, gets that gash and is out for a month. 4 points hit transferring him out for Adebayor... Michu and Hazard's prices rising very fast. Had to transfer Hazard in even if he doesn't play next week.

Sunderland v Reading game called off. Got 2 Reading players + Rooney on bench.

They also effectively paid 7m for what was essentially a 6 month loan for Robbie Keane, didn't they? If Carroll does come back for 12m, that's like 23m for a 18 month loan.

Everton linked to M'Baye Niang for 2m. Young, versatile forward who can play on the wing and up front. For that fee, we should be in for him.

When is the FA gonna rule on Pardew's charge? Would have thought something similar to player appeals vs reds, like before the next match. If this 'delay' makes him available for Chelsea, all the better.

Your original time was right. BST + 7 hrs to get Indonesian time. Edit: Scratch that. Forgot Indonesia is big enough to have 3 diff time zones.

Crazy they don't even sell before they buy. It's like they only know how to do incomings, and their first team numbers are huge now. Good luck with the wages if they go down. Probably won't happen though.

One per gameweek but you can carry over a transfer so you can use (max) 2 the next week.

Just like last season, they allowed Lennon to cut in from the left. I would have thought our players (not just Simpson) have learned to close him down and force him down the left where he has to cross with his weaker left.

Exactly. Pardew made the right tactical call while everyone else was debating Williamson losing his place as 3rd choice CH. It worked a treat. Kudos to Pards for showing wise tactical flexibility.
