  1. Exactly..That's why I don't think there's anything in this rumor..
  2. The difference is that we know Bendter will continue his shit play for us if he signs. Such a projection is hard to make regarding foreign players we know little about..That builds anticipation..

In other words, no real replacement for Enrique? At best, a back-up? Enrique wasn't solid the first couple of seasons either..But because of regular football, he became good..
  5. Caved in for once? When it comes to transfers, he's never caved in..

  8. Saw Lens in the Europa League against Benfica previous season. Pretty average if you ask me..Physical and quick, but his technique is not at all good enough for PL. He was pretty much invisible the two matches I saw . His partner on the left wing, Balázs Dzsudzsák, was on the other hand very good..Quick, good technique, hard working and his contributions into the box were also great. He's now playing for the Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala btw..
  9. Never seen him play. How is he? Is he quick? Because we need some speed in attack..

Wullie, I am not going to argue that much, but I just want to point out, the only owner that can serve your expectation is an Abramovich. f***ing hell. Maybe we could have an owner that doesn't constantly lie and f***ing deliberately mislead the clubs supporters at any given opportunity. An owner that may see the potential in having a £35million figure to improve the squad and at least attempt to progress, the fact that you and so many others are content to sit back and accept the lies and f***ing outright bullshit is just depressing. What are you going to do about it? Put a gun to some billionaire arab's head and demand he buy out the club and spend £50m on the squad? What a bizarre stance for a football fan to take. What? Look at the reality? The reality is we're owned by a lying c*** with zero ambition other than for the club to simply exist. Pretty s*** reality to be honest. Sadly, nowadays, ambition means Abramovich style investing, rather than correctly investing a club's own money, Who's the Abramovich at Spurs? Good question. Are we based in London that able to charge extravagant ticket prices? Our stadium seats 16000 more people so it's swings and roundabouts. Spurs were playing catch up to us for ten years, how did that happen? Because we wasted an incredible amount of money on shit players: Owen, Viduka, Martins, Duff, Smith, Butt, Capaca, Xisco, Luque and Boumsong. Almost all were expensive to purchase and none of the above bastard netted less than 40-50 000 a week.
  13. That's the problem with football..Finding the right players is difficult, and there need not be a correlation between what you pay and what you get. The revenue might increase, but it's not sure that the profit will be better since bringing in expensive players results in increased expenses.
  14. It has to be more than decent to offset the risks of selling him..The defense is shit without him, both MA and Pards know that.
  15. Of course we do, but the problem is still that we're paying too much salaries compared to what we get in. The player wages are so high, that a couple of high earners that contribute with little on the pitch can fuck up the club's economy..Right now we have three of them: Barton and Smith are earning £60 a week, and Xisco £50. Barton has either been injured or acting like an idiot most seasons, except one.Smith has always been shit. Those two has in sum robbed the club for £31 mill. And of course, we have Xisco who'll probably net a cool £13 during his stay with us. And we had Owen, Viduka and Martins too..All three, very expensive flops. All these errors on the transfer market (combined with some administrative fuck ups) put the club in a serious debt situation, that is not instantly fixed. It will take time to turn this club around, a reality some of you refuse to accept.
  16. Get a grip man..Of course he'll improve the squad..He's amply proven that already. That's why we need the money for Enrique, so we're able to buy a PROPER replacement. Besides, if he wants to sell the club, he'll get much more for it if the squad is full of prospects and is fighting in the upper tier of the table. From this perspective, he got every incentive to plow the money he earns from player sales back into the team. http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/3222/unledhjc.png So a French international in Cabaye isn't a reinforcement? He's cheaper and better than Nolan..BA is better than Shola, and his stats are impressive. .MA managed to haggle over Nolan, Carroll and Routledge's fees.We got more than they're worth imo. You're so fucking negative that you refuse to see the positive aspects that actually are happening. We've brought in nearly £40m in transfer fees this calendar year and yet we need to sell Enrique to be able to afford a replacement. Fucking hilarious man. Ma has always said that wages have to be considered as a part of the picture when calculating how much of the £35 mill from Carroll is used. I'm pretty sure that Mav and Cabaye are both on 40 000 a week, minimum. Over five years, that's £20 mill on two players, in salaries only..On top of that we have sign on- (Mav and Ba)agent fees (Mav, Ba and Cabaye) . And you're forgetting that we actually had a £10 mill bid for Gameiro accepted. With the current economical climate in USA and Europe, our current debt situation and turnover vs salary ratio I think MA's conservative spending is a wise approach. I'm pretty sure that we have a replacement for Enrique ready. Everything depends on him. We cannot use £5-6 on Mbenge and paying him £40 a week without selling Enrique first. What if Enrique decides to finish his contract? Then one of them has to be benched. That is a luxury(sportingly and economically) we cannot afford. And it's not a solution neither Enriqe and Mbenge are satisfied with.

  19. And the save against ManU at St James. I still cannot believe how he managed to pull that off..
  20. Agreed..Taylor positional play is still not good enough...
  21. Class.. Any other player and I would have been worried about his fitness level because of the missed pre-season matches..Tiote on the other hand will play as nothing has happened.. He'll tear Arse apart..
