I think MA and Pards will play it cool. No reason what so ever to engage in a bidding war, which is exactly what Wigan wants. If a bid is accepted, we'll match it. Hopefully Zog will then be a man of his word. If not, so be it.

Don't know about City but the journalists seem to think that while Liverpool rate Enrique going forward, they have concerns about his defending. you know a pair of friends of mine (one a Liverpool supporter) said the exact same thing then again neither rates Colo either so they know nothing about football (among the things said was worst cb he's ever seen from one) How is it possible not to notice Enrique's defensive qualities and Colo's solid season.. It's Enrique's offensive play that needs improvement.

I think Erdnic could suit us. We haven't had that "pain in the ass" strike with speed and work ethic since Bellamy left. Similar strikers like Tevez and Shrek do a tremendous job in defense too by pressuring the defense so it's not able to pass the ball to a CM. Hopefully Erdnic could fill Bellamy's shoes

He's the only sensible choice. Barton is bunkers and it's not certain that he'll be a nufc-player the coming season. Taylor must concentrate on keeping his place, and deliver one whole season on a stable level and staying injury free. How about HBA as vice captain? From a purely emotional standpoint, it makes sense for me

With Zog on the right, we have an midfield that will cause a bulge in my pants. That setup has so much force that Long might actually work. He's quick and has a good work ethic. In other words: He will create space for our midfield . Bellamy did the same job. Didn't score many goals (1 in 3 ratio) but his movements gave Big Al the space he needed..

He was great in the first half of the season, but his form decreased as the season progressed. His set pieces became useless after Carroll left. The ball was covered with star dust when it landed. Says more about Carroll's aerial capability than Barton's ability to deliver good set pieces.

But Mbenge got potential and is one for the future and I don't think he'll get that much immediately. Bridge is soon the past. No chance in hell we'll sign Bridge. A 30 year old with a salary of 80 000 a week? He's the player archetype that we PREVIOUSLY bought and which almost destroyed the club: old, heavy salary, an inconsistent performer and injury prone.. Come on.

A risky move, but because Zog's positive statements, playing it cool could be a wise decision. Instead of engaging in a bidding war, we wait until another club get a bid accepted. By default, Wigan must then accept ours, if it's identical. If Zog lives up to his word, he will favor a NUFC-return. Unless he's offered stupid money.
