  1. Where does the policy come from?
  2. I mean...just his name for a thread title would suffice at this point
  3. I'm fine with that. It shouldn't have got this far, to the point we've wasted half the window trying to get unattainable replacements when we don't need to let him go.
  4. My worry about this window, is that it was supposed to be the one we pushed on, being able to attract more talent and moved forward. But we've fucked ourselves over by not having the right people in place to deal with the Isak situation properly and bring in new talent. No doubt I feel like there's a sense of cartel control but we're dabbling in that market with the bigger clubs which was never going to be easy. Hopefully we can move on from trying to replace Isak to other positions. The longer term worry for me is what happens with our other jewels next season if we haven't strengthened sufficiently come September? It's not how the 'star players' (or purples to use the Pardism) will be wanting to go into the season and does it make others have second thoughts about the project? Been a bit of a shit show really, I was hoping for more Elanga level signings by now rather than us wasting time trying to find a (possibly unnecessary) replacement for the huffy number 14. Just getting that off my chest
  5. Aye. I'm sorry but if people didn't see this coming and got invested it's on them I mean aye, you have the little 'what if' in the back of your mind but there was a reason it was being dragged out. I'm still of the opinion we should be just ignoring Isak's huff, make him honor his contract for another year (his current contract... No fuckin raise in salary), try again for Wissa and look at the other positions we need. Wasted too much time trying to bring in a replacement for someone who we don't have to let go.
  6. Do journalists tweets really influence a clubs thinking?
  7. He'll be on the flight to Manchester for his medical by now.
  8. it really was obvious man. I'll reiterate... Isak stays, try again for Wissa. Cartel clubs doing a grand job of wasting our window and trying to unsettle us.
  9. It's definitely one for the pet hates thread for me this Not sure how I'd cope if gdm wasn't reiterating how this definitely pans out ever 5 posts. As you say it's probably correct, but the condescending tone towards anyone daring to have a bit extra (possibly blind) hope is lifting.
  10. Aye, letting him go at this point in time does more damage to the clubs season than his huffs.
  11. Has ornstein been briefed by isaks agent yet? Wondering when we will be told we should do the right thing and pass our star striker to Liverpool and be grateful for the low ball offer.
  12. SHOWDOWN TALKS! I couldn't give a fuck if he's there to say he won't play, that shouldn't change the fact that we'll hold him to his contract if necessary. Sets a very bad precedent going forward if we allow him to leave on anything but our terms at this point in his contract.
  13. Aye and that's what I can see happening as opposed to us getting a replacement in by the end of the month.
  14. I mean, it's clearly obvious though isn't it? We've thrown a bid in only to hear nothing. He's dragging his heels until they can make an offer. Strengthen other places, try again for Wissa and don't let Isak leave.
  15. Tbf he's close to 'burning bridges' already by refusing to go on the pre season with the squad. Absolute shit house move.
  16. Should do that whether sesko comes or not. Doesn't need to be one or the other.
