Because their players take the chances that are created for them. Manager's fault like So your solution is to buy him even more players? Agreed, it would be insane to have more than 2 capable strikers. Lets stop throwing players at the bloke! Are people seriously expecting options from the bench? Do we think we are Man City or something!!? Swansea brought on Luke Moore They've won a cup and are 8th btw. They also have Michu who has scored about 3 times as many as Cisse, in fact the player they let go in January would be putting up a good fight to start for us right now. Our forward option (no s) off the bench is Shola Ameobi. Not sure how anyone can seriously say we don't need to buy 'even more' players as if our forward line is already well stocked. Wayne Routledge is their joint second highest scorer in the league. Outside of Michu, their most prolific striker is Luke Moore who scored his first goal yesterday. If we need to keep buying players to see results (or goals in this case) then maybe squad depth isn't the issue (it definitely isn't).

People always say stuff like this, but Championship teams repeatedly look competent in the Premier League once promoted, most of the time after not making many signings. You see equally comical Premier League defending at times. Indeed. "The Premiership" is the biggest myth going in football and it often gets hilariously debunked when The Fa/League Cup rolls around.

Could have brought on Ben Ar...oh wait. -
Couldn't care less how we played, it's another defeat. Our 14th defeat out of 28 games which is the same as "definitely finished" QPR.

His conditioning would certainly be a large factor in a 20 minute cameo. Safety/boredom first again.

1 month Waste of time.

My letter mentions a price freeze scheme (despite the price going up by about £10 overall) so you might be covered by that.

They were apparently £80million in debt and if they hadn't qualified for the CL in 2003 (on the last day I think) they'd have been in critical condition as RA wouldn't have bought them. He might have bought us in that situation but that just my guesswork.

Not doing himself any favours by continually picking Torres over Ba, unless that's not in his hands in which case I have zero sympathy for him.

The 2 free kicks against Lyon are good examples of this. They're as close to a 1 man team as you're likely to get atm.

Yeah, Football definitely works like that. If he got injured now how do you think they'd do? Who would carry the weight?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012%E2%80%9313_Tottenham_Hotspur_F.C._season#Top_scorers Take Bale out of that and they're mid-table at best.
-
It's obviously just a coincidence but Ba scored 5 goals against those 3 teams in the corresponding fixtures. It could be argued he won us 5 points then too.
-
Difference is those players don't effect the overall play or system of the team, Ba did... I always said the team would be better without him and function much better and lo and behold.... Not counting Everton, Norwich and Reading then?
-
Defoe then Bale have kept Tottenham going like Ba then Cisse did for us last year. I don't know if that's actually true but it sounds good.

Papiss, Papiss Cisse He's the one who scores from everywhere You can't stop, Papiss Cisse Cos he can score from anywhere Blates ripping off my In The Navy one but whatevz innit.
