  1. Colo went particularly insane when celebrating Jonas' goal. Think he wanted some sunglasses to descend and land perfectly on his dopey face while telling the French lads to "deal with it".
  2. If the last 2 results are anything to go by, we could do a bit of damage now due to how open/poor the league has been this year. A top 8 finish is suddenly very possible. Need to sort out that awful goal difference though.
  3. or the champs league if we'd bought him the season before ? If he was as good then as he is now he'd have certainly made the/a difference. We've needed a link between deep midfield and the strikers for a few years now.
  4. We'd be at least mid-table if we'd have got him last summer imo. He won us that game and he'd have won us more games before today.
  5. Same. I was on my feet clapping and plenty of others were clapping too. I was also delighted that he put his shot wide and went off before half time of course, but all's fair in love and war.
  6. Ignoring the aftermath, Ba putting his header wide was a great moment. I love him but that was a "Carroll getting booked" moment and it felt glorious. Chelsea's 2 goals are worth a mention mainly because we won.

Got everything right today. We'd have lost if he'd have brought on Shola at 2-1.
  8. Keep giggling like a girl when I think about how well he played. Absolutely colossal performance. The destruction of Cole moment was probably my highlight of the season so far.

It could be argued he's under more pressure now than before as his list of excuses just halved in the last week. He needs immediate results now.

    Sammy Ameobi

Unfortunately, he'll still be in our first 18.
  11. neesy will run this place in a few weeks imo

    Wilfried Bony

How high profile are they really though, especially when half the country had never heard of them until this transfer window? Not your average man in the street but both have been bubbling under for 12-18 months on the potential hype machine. Those 2 and Lacina Traore are pretty much the future of African forwards as far as I'm aware. Cheers. It was just the phrase 'high profile' that got me. Just getting a bit worn down by the endless hyperbole on here. You'd think Mike Ashley was the Second Coming and all these new players were the latter day saints the way folks are going on. [/grumpyoldman] 1. See player is linked 2. Youtube him/her 3. Post detailed player analysis based entirely on one video is probably how the majority do their research tbh. We'll see soon enough.

From Cisse signing to Summer 2014, we'll have had this one glorious week of transfer excitement imo. Get a good striker in and we're set for ages.
  14. Just watched the "French Yaya Toure" video http://i48.tinypic.com/fjdr1s.gif

Again, sounds like some cages were rattled. Can't argue with the response. If only.
  16. The term "box to box player" makes my heart sink after watching Jenas for years. He was the perfect definition of that phrase in that he'd just run from box to box while contributing nothing.

Giving a useless, detestable workman very good tools worked last season. I just hope we won't have to keep plying him with fantastic players every window to see results.
  19. Good job you're not in the dressing room giving the motivational speech before kick off Aye, thankfully we've got Pardew

I don't really see how, all he's costing us is wages. I wouldn't disagree with sacking him, but I don't think he's really costing us much other than that. Surely people just see him as a loose cannon, it's basically nothing to do with NUFC. He represents our club. Our name is all over the internet and newspapers for very negative reasons again because of him.
  21. I did say we don't need all the details but anyway... A very simple statement from Colo would end all the rumours, many of which certainly wouldn't be helping him or his family if his wife is indeed ill. He'll know about all the negative stories that are going round and he could stop all of them with a few lines on the website. Suppose it'll all come out eventually one way or the other.
  22. A massive part of the problem for us is exactly that and it's been going on for weeks. We don't need all the details, just some clarification of what we're actually dealing with would be helpful. fwiw I don't know what to believe but I can see why the lack of information is making some people rather uneasy.
  23. No idea who any of them are (aside from the match at SJP where Gouffran allegedly played) nor have I read/believe much of the stuff on here so I'm looking forward to seeing them all.
  24. Saw him twice tonight in Newcastle. There endeth my story.
