At 29, Defoe is 16 league goals away from being in the top 10 highest scorers in Premier League history. He's 12 goals away from being in England's top 10 highest scorers list, despite never playing a full 90 mins and 19 goals away from being in Tottenham's all time top 5 highest scorers list. He simply isn't a bad player. -

You stated it as a fact then tried to justify yourself with that "weaker league" nonsense THEN decided you meant something else Always check the facts, soo-soo. -

This happened a few years ago btw. Played 34 games and scored 18 (24 in all comps) the year they qualified. Weaker league that year. They did it with Huddlestone and Palacios in midfielder that year too. Point still stands. No it doesn't. You said it wouldn't happen and it already had. Surely having a weak midfield just makes his 24 goals that year even more impressive? What did I say about time and effort? I'm saying it won't happen That it has happened in a previous season with completely different squads and different teams matters not one jot to the point. Everton got top 4 playing Marcus Bent upfront one year. With the current top 6 or 7, they won't be finishing in the top four unless they can get a better striker. That is my opinion. It was an impressive tally, easily the best of his career and helped by scoring 6 goals in 2 games against Wigan Athletic. Twisting your own words now. It wasn't "easily" the best of his career either. He score more than Ba in all comps last year. -

He's actually scored nearly 200 career goals. Means he's good. Stats don't count. -

You can just admit you're wrong. Saves time and effort. -
I want to be him. I might even buy a Playstation just so I can control him.

I'm taking everything as a positive today except Simpson's defending for the goal. The winger had at least 15 yards to work with when he got the ball. I'm definitely giving Cabaye the benefit of the doubt and saying it's his fitness today, but he does have a tendency to disappear in midfield. Today was easily his worse game for us. Tiote did the work of 2 men. -
Gary Lineker @GaryLineker During this season we'll see different faces on MOTD. Harry R and Mick Mc as well as others tba. One or two will surprise you. fabrice muamba @fmuamba @GaryLineker I'm ready when you guys are. Would be great if he was on regularly, they need a younger face who's more in touch with the game. I'd rather have people on there who have earned the right tbh.

He needs to be getting first team appearances this season. Don't want another of our brightest talents stuck in the reserves or on pointless 2 month loans till they're 21.

Why is Ronaldo so mellow recently? It's fairly unnerving.
-
Aye. Shola will probably be our European striker with a few quick midfielders darting around him. Or maybe alternate Ba and Cisse.

Quick refresher course in time for the big kickoff.

That would be class. 50 thousand people all in curly haired wigs. Aye Waving thousands of Argentina flags too.

Mehdi Abeid, Jak Alnwick, Gael Bigirimana, Adam Campbell, Curtis Good, JJ Hooper, Bradden Inman, Marcus Maddison, Jonathan Mitchell, Yven Moyo, Conor Newton, Alex Nicholson, Michael Richardson, Lubo Satka, James Tavernier, Haris Vuckic That's the reserve squad who are playing tomorrow so none of them will be involved in the senior squad.

I know some saw it as cheesy, but I was always impressed when the Arsenal fans did a "Bergkamp day" for a match. A Coloccini day would definitely liven up a potentially boring game. http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/turn-highbury-orange-for-dennis-bergkand-day-

Wooooah we're half way there.

Gosling is a different type of player to Tiote and Anita. He gets forward and in the box which is rare for our central midfielders. Don't disagree at all about him needing loads of games but he'll score goals for us this season, mainly in Europe.

It would just be amusing to see these perfectly conditioned athletes eating the bowel destroying sewage that wormy eats seemingly everyday. The other stuff is unexplainable
