  1. Sissoko had similar goals/assists numbers to Colback after about 4 games here. He was incredibly effective for a few months before the inevitable neutering.
  2. Decent left foot = is left footed Good awareness = passes backwards AND sideways
  3. It's worse now http://www.whoscored.com/Players/69867/History/Jack-Colback
  4. Care to take a stab at why? A few people are saying this then avoiding any follow up questions.
  5. Don't think anyone 'supports' that stuff he did when at Sunderland. The question is whether it's a factor in how good a signing he is. I'd say the majority of fans won't want him and won't want to support him so it's already a bad signing. Football is supposed to be about pleasing the fans after all, not antagonizing them at every opportunity for no reason.
  6. Way to misrepresent. Wait, what, where? He's not the worst or utter dross? He might be a decent signing? Other than being contrary, what makes you think he might be decent? He's got 4 goals and 3 assists in over 100 games and he won't be playing as a DM. If he wasn't free we'd be going nowhere near him. Might make 500k on him in 4 years though
  7. Let's just take Colback's advice and shut up, eh? http://i.imgur.com/IeKLQNT.jpg
  8. Ignore the promotion the previous season? 2 goals in 11 games. Probably best we do.
  9. 2 names that everyone knows, yes. 2 names doesn't constitute "numerous" names.
  10. So do I. Some of the crap being spouted on here is ridiculous. There have been numerous players that have played for both teams and done well. What was he supposed to have done when 16? Refused to take a shot at being a pro because it was Sunderland? Behave. Who has played for both and done well? Anyone from the last 30 years? Our first permanent signing in 18 months is an out of contract mackem who is, at best, average. Bracewell, Venison & Clark all within the last 20 years or so. Bracewell and Venison are the only two I could think of (both are about 50 years old now). Lee Clark is despised by their fans so he can't count. And both of them were inside the last 30 years too, proving your own point wrong here fella. I didn't say there wasn't any because I already knew of 2. He said there were "numerous" players who'd done well at both but there's clearly not many within a relevant time frame.

  13. Another player in the squad we don't like or want. http://cdn2.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/article29251289.ece/71f02/ALTERNATES/h342/newcastle.jpg
  14. The first few pages in this thread make for good reading. The desperation to sign him is horrible to read knowing what we know now.
  15. I'm leaning this way too. It feels similar to when I wanted Kinnear to replace Pardew not all that long ago. Definite short term loss for potential long term gain etc.
  16. His first move was to appoint Ian Dowie as assistant, a man famous for being ugly and shit. It was never going to end well.
  17. Here's a few more. From Keegan himself...
  18. He didn't even seem to be close to getting sacked after 2 of the worst runs we've ever had so I personally think he'll be here as long as Ashley is. Can't think of even 1 realistic reason why not.
  19. It's almost certain that Lambert is a lot better than whoever we'll end up with. Can't argue with 28 goals and 15 assists in the last 2 years, plus his England caps/goals. They desperately need Lovren too.
