Some good, some bad. Holds onto it too long after initially doing some great work to create a bit of space for himself. Gets in the way a bit somehow. But there were also some really promising signs in attack. Still no idea what his position is. Certainly doesn’t have one in this setup.
-
Not a chance he was better than Thiaw, IMO.
-
Thought after 10-15 minutes. It was going to be one of his games where he looks uninterested and half arsed. But he got through a POWER of running. Didn’t give them a minute’s peace at the back, won cheap free kicks, 3 shots on target. Very good display.
-
That’s on VAR, IMO. Not the onfield ref.
-
MOTM by a distance. Colossal defensive performance from him.
-
Thought he was alright. Resisted the urge to give a ridiculously soft penalty. Despite chief cunt Cucarella screaming in his face every 5 seconds.
-
He is so frustrating. He was brilliant at times, nicking the contested or second ball, reacting well when the passage of play had broken down. Only to then not be on the same wavelength as his teammate. Can see it breaking down in slow motion, almost. Brilliant off the ball, though. I didn’t even celebrate the goal. Just assumed he was miles offside as he went that far clear

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed
Lush Vlad replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
I thought he was very good 2-3 times he got us up the pitch with some pinpoint long passing. Much better if we are going to sit deep, too. As he becomes an extra option along the defensive line. I still shit myself when it goes near the box, mind. Came for a few crosses well. But was also rooted to his line when he had all day to come and claim it. Not that Pope has inspired confidence very often this season. Ramsdale has cemented himself as number one now, for sure. -
Such a weird game. We basically didn’t attack for an hour. It was really nervy. But at the same time, they never looked like scoring. Thiaw MOTM by a furlong. Shove that up ya bollocks Liam. You marketing executive tosspot. Get it up ya.
-
Don’t even think it’s that. Keeper has made a massive howler. Then it just seemed like they lost all their shape and discipline. The 4th was a belter TBF. But that 5th. You can’t be conceding that last kick of the game
-
Chelsea have self-imploded They were the better side for 70 odd minutes and it looked like a quality away performance. How have they lost that 5-2?! Oh well
-
Krav is so good. It’s great to see wingers that go at their man all the while like he does. He’s changed the game for them.
-
LinkedIn Liam needs to age that man a bit more. Where the fuck was the keeper even trying to pass that?! Chelsea were in total control and all.
-
Out of all the players we supposedly bid for or were heavily linked with in the summer. Joao Pedro feels like the one that got away. His all round game has always been great. But he’s now scoring plenty, too.
-
Not sure how much of this is Chelsea being good and how much is to do with PSG being unable to defend?
-
Real Madrid just own this competition. Been shite by their standards whenever I’ve seen them this season. Now this
-
Just seen it. Keown, the absolute ape. Saying it is a penalty
-
PSG have been so sloppy. They’re regularly passing it straight to Chelsea.
-
How have one of the best teams in the world got that clown in nets. He’s garbage. Chelsea have been decent since going behind, TBF.
-
Still a bit Bramble’esque for me. Not as many calamitous errors and lapses of concentration. Not as powerful or quick. But he seems to be quite often having a great game. Yet there is always a nagging doubt that he might drop a bollock. I actually thought he was brilliant last night. Right until the last kick/foul.
-
Usually quiet to ok’ish where I’m sat in the Leazes. Best I can remember in a long while last night. The way the game went and the dodgy ref helped. Refs being shit always gets the fans going.
-
Some boy. Not sure what else to say about him, really?! Running out of ways to describe how good he is
-
FWIW, I thought Cancelo walking past 3 half arsed challenges was the most offensive part of it all. But it is hard to criticise individuals or the setup too much. When we had been so good for the 94 minutes prior. Just a bit of a concern that the late goals and not seeing games out is becoming a recurring theme.
-
He was so positive and was unlucky not to have a goal and an assist last night. Really bright and kept them on the back foot. He still looks short of confidence and like he is second guessing himself a lot of the time. Quite a few times he looked caught in 2-3 minds and the end product ended up being underwhelming.

Even when he‘s having a poor game or has supposedly ‘disappeared’. He is still usually our biggest attacking threat. Regularly getting shots off or trying to work space for a cross. Hit the post and scored. So if that’s a poor game against Barca. Then he’s not bad. My only real gripe with him is that he sometimes has an extra touch and gets his shot/cross blocked. But all of our wingers are guilty of that, bar Murphy. He is the polar opposite.
