We could still end up having a very good season, in the face of adversity and we’re not in a bad position. 6th-8th would have been decent enough even if we had most of our players available.

I think it was the Isak scuffed chance that he starts from deep and then pops up for the cutback. The last apps have perhaps suited his talents, with the way the games were when he came on. But he was impressive nonetheless. Feels like he would be pushing for a start even if Lascelles and Tino were available. But he has to start tomorrow, surely? Even if Trippier is back. I’d rather him at RB and Hall LB. Than Krafth coming in.

Without trying to compare myself to the man mountain that is Big Jamaal. When I did my ACL. I walked off unaided and was trying to loosen up on the sidelines to come back on. After that. I had it checked by 3 physios/specialists who all said structurally it felt intact and there wasn’t loads of movement in the knee so probably all fine, maybe LCL at worst. Had an MRI, complete mess. 3 ligaments and a tendon. ACL completely ruptured. TL;DR - not everyone is the same with injuries. Lascelles is a leader and probably felt like he might be able to continue. Don’t think you can blame the medical team (for once).
