  1. This. I don't think his ability is in question. His close control, the way he turns to shake off his man, his finishing and the runs he makes, are all quality. But he is obviously a gutless bastard. I can't remember the last good game he had?! He has had games where he has looked almost world class. So I don't think it's a case of him just playing well above his ability, on a few occasions. It just seems like he hasn't got the heart for the fight and goes missing all too often. Massive shame, as we could do with some of his quality, right now. But the way he is strolling about the pitch. We could really do with playing someone in his place. You know, someone that is actually interested in fighting for the team.
  2. I know after 33 games. There are going to be a lot of moments you can look back on and say 'what if?' But the last minute Norwich goal, really does look massive, now. We'd be on level points, with a +1 better goal dif, if we had seen that out. It looks as if sunderland are the ones with the best chance of stopping up. So we'd still have to outperform them for the last 5 games. But I still go back to the 3-2 at Carrow Road and think that might ultimately be what fucks us. Unless we get a shock win against City or Liverpool (yeah right), then I think we're down.
  3. I was quietly confident we could sneak a win. But never thought we'd bang in 3 goals and keep a clean sheet. So it's great that we still have a fighting chance. I think sunderland are the most likely to stay up. But we're still in the fight, at least. I've only seen MOTD. From watching that and seeing the stats. It still seems like we're a long way from figuring it out and we're obviously not going to become a good side overnight. At this stage of the season, it doesn't really matter how you get a win, of course. I'm sure the result and the clean sheet, will do their confidence no end of good. I'm just a bit worried about the next two games. I think the City and then Liverpool, will bring us back down to earth. Watching City on Saturday, was pretty scary. If only De Bruyne was still injured.
  4. Norwich - 33 Newcastle - 32 Sunderland - 31 I thought I was being fairly optimistic, as well. Lots of draws and losses for the mackems. Us beating Swansea, Palace and drawing with Villa. I doubt we'll even win tomorrow.
  5. Because his touch is shit and he can't pass or tackle. So pretty much the same as the rest of our centre midfield
  6. The International Football Association Board (IFAB) has published changes to the laws of the game for the 2016/17 season, the most notable altering sending-off and cautionable offences inside the penalty area. The previous 'triple-punishment' rule meant that a player who denied a goal-scoring opportunity was automatically red-carded and handed a suspension, as well as giving away a penalty. That's from the post on the last page. Makes it sound like it's for inside the box, only. But then it's not 100% clear as the article goes on and the BBC link, makes it even less clear. I agree with you. This new rule should apply to fouls inside the penalty area, only. It should have been brought in ages ago.
  7. Anita right back. Dummett at left back. I think Dummett is back fit?
  8. If he keeps battering people and his PR team don't push him into acting like a complete t***, like the majority of boxers. Then Anthony Joshua will be winning that, IMO. If you mean player of the year. I still disagree I think Kane or Mahrez will get it. Like Wullie said, though. I'm sure they do the voting in February, or some bollocks like that. So maybe Vardy would be in with a shout.
  9. Martin 'Bluto' Samuel. Is an absolute cunt.
  10. Agreed. So I fully expect us to play a 4-2-3-1, with wingers playing on the wrong side. I know he's trying to keep it tight. But the back 4 is that bad, that we're always going to concede. Plus, we create absolutely fuck all going forward and rarely look like scoring. Not exactly a recipe for success.
  11. So did the 6 get sent off for nutting that guy, or was it for the second tackle? Definitely not a straight red for the challenge, IMO. Didn't even think it should have been a foul.
  12. They couldn't repair his pea heart in time for the Swansea game. Dummett back fit. Meh. He's better than the shit we've had at left back in recent weeks. Colback available after suspension. Oh FFS.
  13. Like a balloon, floating off into the sky.
  14. Correct. So I'm sure he'll go flying in to a stupid challenge, early doors.
  15. He'll probably get sent off. He's made a couple of pretty hefty, late tackles since we signed him and he's a bit careless with his elbows. Flails his arms about a lot. He's either pointing or trying to hit one of the opposition.

BUMP. We've let one of the best topics on the forum, drop well down the list. I have no clue how to edit and shop images. But this thread always made me laugh.
  18. There is a kernel of something in there. Rafa could destroy Barca or Real Madrid in detail, but he never got the hang of playing against Bolton… I could kind of see their angle with what they were saying about Benitez. Even though I didn't 100% agree. But to say we'd be better off with Nigel Pearson, is a load of bollocks. It's a lazy comment and it is a crock of s***, perpetuated by those in the media and on Sky. It gets repeated enough and then people start to believe it. Based on absolutely nothing, other than what a few pundits and journalists, have parroted.
  19. I love how people keep using his time at Hull City, to back up their flawed argument. "Yes but why was he crap, when he was playing for a crap team and a crap manager, who went on to get relegated."
  20. Just seen their goals for the first time. You can't even get annoyed about the first two. The defending is that comical, you have to laugh. As ridiculous as it sounds for a 'proffesional' football team. It really looks like the players have just given up. Almost to a man, they are a bunch of gutless cowards.
  21. I've just seen the first goal. It is absolutely awful from Taylor. But Shelvey, Mbemba and Anita. All look equally as shite. Nobody seems to give a fuck and it's like they're not even trying. That's probably the case, TBH.
  22. Yeah. I don't understand this, either. On Saturday. I was getting told that Rafa wouldn't get us out the Championship. Because of how he sets his teams up. We would be better off going for someone like Nigel Pearson, as he'd get us promoted, no bother. Some of the people saying this, are Liverpool fans, and all. Seems like a load of bollocks, IMO.
