Totally forgot to mention in all my praise of him. The part he played in the second goal. Bruno inexplicably plays a horrible pass nowhere near him that's going off for a goal kick. I think a lot of players would have given up on it or started to go and then stopped. I even thought it was Tino at first, who is rapid when he gets going and thought he had no chance. He busts a gut to keep it in, his usual casual self to then pick the right pass and then we score. 19 years old and I don't even think it's outrageous to say he is our most calm and measured player in the squad. I was never calling him a plodder or owt. But I've never been more wrong about a player. Ok, maybe Seb Bassong I thought he was going to be another Longstaff sort, albeit a lot better on the ball. He's been our best player for the last what? 6 games? Not like we've seen loads of others underperforming either. As we've had plenty who have shone in that time, too.

He was playing like as spooked horse. Reminiscent of Boumsong last night. Unlike Boumsong, he already has a back catalogue of being absolutely class in just half a season here.

The fuck up on the header is Botman's fault. Botman could have cleared his lines and then got stuck under the ball. Before attempting a piss weak header back. It was a good job he hadn't retreated or they would have been in either way.

Thought he’s been a lot deeper for crosses, long throws and set pieces. Like he is either playing it safe, he’s his usual rusty self after injury OR he’s been told to be less gung ho. Then just out the blue decides to go charging out, get nowhere near it and then slip over Huge let off. But then he did bail Botman out with that awful header back to him. The saves he makes with his feet are unorthodox and never get praise. But I prefer that to so many keepers that don’t get down in time. Been mostly fine since he’s come back. But he’s a lucky boy that there isn’t yet another massive howler on his ever increasing blooper reel. I’d start him Saturday. He’s always slow to get his sharpness back after injury and Ramsdale is crap.

He’s had a few ropey moments since joining. But that was basically more bad, noticeable errors in a half of football. Than all of his other games combined. Hoping he was just a bit under the weather or had a slight strain that was putting him off his game. I’m sure he’ll put it behind him and be back to normal next week. I’d say sit him out on Saturday. Not sure who else plays there instead, mind?!

Miley will just casually pocket Haaland. We’ll be fine, man.

Oh go on then. I’ll mention it again. When I briefly met him. He was so unlike a footballer, or at least the ones that are portrayed in the media. It was a head fuck. Proper sound and seemed genuinely engaged and interested with my slightly drunken waffling. I liked him before and thought he got a raw deal. But it’s definitely made me more biased towards him than before

I didn’t think we were much better with Wissa on FWIW. Plus he missed a very big chance and was mainly at fault for their 3rd. When Barnes and Gordon started drifting infield. We looked really dangerous and Woltemade got involved. We even scored. Funny that. Not sure why we insist on getting our wingers to get chalk on their boots for so long. Leaving Woltemade about 30 yards of space all on his own with 2-3 CB’s and often a DM in front to stop any supply into him regardless. He does need to change his game in certain ways. But we don’t get the best out of him, either.

That assist was filthier than a miner’s shovel. Captian’s performance yet again. Although I will admit. I watched from behind a chair through my hands when he took the pen. Amorim style.

MOTM (sorry Harv). The absolute trust Howe has in this kid. Right back, played well. Moved to CM to replace a £55m Italian international. Then drops in at CB without missing a beat. He’s got ice in his veins man. Casually stopped a goal. Put some big lad on the weights in the corner. When he got done he didn’t panic and got back into position and shut the angle to goal off. I got confused a few times with some of his runs and movements and thought he was Bruno. Which is a pretty big compliment to pay him.

I know I am FFS. I said mostly. A lot of their players are from last season. They’re lower level Prem then if that makes you happy you pedantic fucker. We are playing terribly and getting outplayed at home by a low level Prem team and it’s not good enough. Especially when it’s the same old mistakes and missteps. Obviously not helped by a drunk Thiaw. But it’s hardly just been him that’s bad.
