Even if it was a favour the lad is quite highly rated. Bizarre that he isn't getting any game time at all.

I think he researched a lot of strikers, went into great depth learning about them and analysing their game. He spoke to his contacts about each and presented a meticulously crafted dossier to our transfer team at which point we picked the cheapest one and threw the rest away.

The fact it's the league cup and a competition we want to exit at the earliest opportunity might work in our favour here. Hopefully he'll rest our 'top' boys like Gouffran and accidentally put a decent team out.

Yeah, Ben Arfa has his problems obviously and he obviously doesn't put 100% into his career, I imagine a lot of footballers are similar but we just don't hear it as their managers aren't complete fucking lunatics; if you're good enough you'll play. Not every player is going to have the desire of Gareth Bale. Not every player has the talent of Gareth Bale. That's why it's such a fuckstick with HBA. He has all the talent in the world, he's better than Bale. If he had Bale's application and drive he'd get that ballon d'or he wanted.

Don't get me wrong, I love HBA and the kind of player he is. On his day he's unplayable but those days are getting fewer and farther between. It's sad because he could have done so much more than he has. With his talent he should have been one of the best in the world but he let's himself down again and again. He'll go to Turkey or the middle east. Maybe a mid table french club. He should have been so much better.
