It's breakfast time over there so don't wind them up. They'll be choking on their triple cheeseburgers. They dieting?

What a load of rubbish. What manager hasn't blamed spies and the notting hill carnival in their time? It's completely reasonable that half the team are tired from playing in midweek and the other half rusty from not playing in midweek. These are normal things for a manager to say.
  3. The galling thing is that our club is now a billboard for the tackiest low grade tat shop in the country but it's ok because FMA gave himself some money and isn't charging himself for the privilege.
  4. We could transfer the loan to Wonga. The interest would only be £2.25 billion a year then
  5. So people will shut the fuck up about Ashley not taking any interest on his loans and not taking any money out of the club then? If FMA wants to charge himself interest on the loans he had to provide due to his own incompetence he can, it's up to him. At least the stadium wouldn't look like such a tacky mess anymore. Cutting off your nose to spite your face there. Why would you invite that if it would harm the club financially? Ashley, prick that he is, is only responsible for £30m or so of the debt. £90m+ was there when he arrived, and accumulating £6m of interest every year. I'm not cutting anything off, you're the one who suggested him charging interest on the loans, not me. I want the club to maximise its revenue streams, you seem content to suck the cock of whichever club official offers it. Now you can show me a pie chart if you like.

These knackers need to average 1.22 points per game over the rest of the season to get to 40 points. That rate of return would have got you 9th last season. Can really see them going down.

Just a poor mans Altidore tbh.
  9. Exactly! fucks me off all this bollocks about SD advertising. It's his fucking club for fucks sake! No, he can't just do what he wants. NUFC and SD are separate legal entities. SD is also not owned by FMA, it's a publicly traded company. Even had SD not been a public company there are laws regarding gaining an unfair competitive advantage and company laws that must be adhered to. I'm not saying he's broken the law or that those laws would necessarily apply here but to say 'it's hizzzz, e can doo wat he wontz' is erroneous at best.
  10. I thought it was pretty obvious that the issue people have is that Sports Direct were getting free adverts which was cutting off income from paying advertisers. Thus the multi-million pound deal Bet365 have made with Stoke to put adverts on their kits and stadium isn't a very good comparison. For debating purposes it's usually better to know the answer to rhetorical questions before you ask them to make sure it's your side of the argument they support. You've been waiting for that aaaaall morning Stoke get paid, we don't. You fucking moron.
  11. Possible the club had contracts that needed to be honoured. I don't know. Track the decline in advertising revenue over his tenure.
  12. He bought the club as an advertising vehicle. Whether or not you disputed SJH's words at the time I think it's clear now what his intentions were and are.
  13. has ashley left anyone around in the sports merchandise sector to be able to complain? he's just about decimated the lot hasn't he? Since he took over NUFC he has. The free advertising and brand exposure obviously did nothing for them though.
  14. worst argument ever tbh, all they have to do is spend 250m on a PL football club and heyho there you go Sports Direct haven't spent a penny on a PL football club. i understand your point like, but there's probably nothing anywhere to say that a club has to charge for advertising - it's not obligatory, it's their choice as a business to maximise commercial revenue or not not sure if conflict of interest is applicable in anyway, 'cause it quite clearly is a conflict of interests Yeah, I agree it's tenuous but as SD and NUFC are separate entities the argument could be made that there is collusion between the two parties to engender an unfair advantage in the market place.

  16. I'd wonder if this would be affected by anti-competition laws. As far as I know none of SD's competitors can receive millions of pounds worth of worldwide exposure free each year.
  17. I was wondering with this one, i can kind of see what Pardew was thinking with Routledge (he's a much better player now imo than he was when at us). But the Obertan signing is baffling as his replacement. I can only think he thought Obertan would be better because Ferguson bought him, and he was at Man Utd learning for a couple of years. I dunno really because Obertan is total shite like. I think that's about the gist of it really. I'd hate to think he watched him extensively then still bought him, because what would that say about his judgement of a player? Obertan wasn't bad in his cameos for Man Utd, though. He was full of tricks and scored a few goals. I actually thought his finishing was good as he scored a couple goals for them in pre season and for the Junior French team. He needs to be sold now. Two very poor seasons He scored one goal for them. Against Bursaspor of Turkey.

Doubtful. Ben Arfa is our teams pause button. We'd Fucking clean up if we built a musical statues team around him.

I can keep them coming if you've been enjoying them. Here's one for you. Roeder still has the best Premier League points won record of any Newcastle manager outside of Keegan and Robson. I wasn't keen on his brand of football either, but nor did I ever advocate for his sacking. Just shows how meaningless your beloved stats are.

If NUFC are making enough profit to enable FMA to repay his loans then what makes people think he'd dispose of us once they're paid back? If you had a business earning you 20m a year would you get rid of it? Ashley will likely be here for a while, I'd rather get rid of Pardew now and hope he takes a chance on a cheap young manager. Better than sticking with this shite season after season.

Not really surprising that apathy has set in amongst the crowd considering the shit this regime puts us through.
