  1. Monumental gobshite. Been caught multiple times as well.
  2. The MLS season doesn't start until April. Its likely just a case of he stays with the squad and completes at the end.
  3. Yeh, absolutely! Although he’s probably of the mindset he could still get a decent move in a European league.
  4. Probably because he has a young family and is settled? As much as Saudi is mega bucks he may just want to play at a decent standard.
  5. None. Howe is hardly going to come out saying he's really happy for players to go. He just plays a straight bat every time.
  6. I couldn't really pinpoint the correct thread to use so I'll take a pop at this one. Whilst we're in with a shout of CL football this season, I wonder whether the wider target is European football of any sort? The news that Almiron and Kelly are potentially off, added with the no PSR issues for us this summer... I do wonder whether we're looking at a wider squad refresh? Our first 11 is fantastic on its day but looking at the wider squad I don't personally think its capable of competing in any European competition and the Premier League. We're crying out for a RCB, RW & ST, but I'd go as far as saying we need a much better bench to complete on both fronts on a regular basis. If both Kelly and Almiron leave with no incomings this month, we'll see fans get twitchy. Looking at the bench we've arguably got players on decent wages but they're not making an impact outside of Barnes and Wilson (if fit).
  7. I didn't mind him letting things go to be honest. I like the game to be spiky, but he lost control in the first half.
  8. No complaints here. We looked gassed from the start and 4-1 is fair reflection on the game. As awful as we played, whether its fatigue or not... They tactically did a number on us today. They'll get praise and rightly so. My only gripe today. Bruno expecting a foul every time he does down and Joelinton thinking he can hold off 11 men at once opposed to releasing the ball. However, we're on the back of 9 in a row, one game from a potential final and on course for European football again. Today isn't a disaster by any stretch. Onto Southampton!
  9. I may be wrong here, but our wages to turnover ratio was pretty high. I'm assuming Miggy was on a decent salary a well.
  10. They’re playing similar to us before this run. Very inconsistent
  11. Great performance last night, just a shame every error seems to be punished at the moment. Salah unplayable the second half, but we really should have been out of sight at HT. Tonali and Isak our standout players. Tonali should be the deeper lying CM IMO, his athleticism really helps us when he's in a slightly deeper role. Isak also much much better when he comes deep into a 10 position to link up play. Special shout out to co-comms last night. Not usually bothered about commentary but the constant fawning over Liverpool was never ending. You'd have thought we'd been playing prime Barcelona. They're an undoubtedly a briiliant team but the constant adjulation is annoying.
  12. So 16 clubs voted to essentially protect the top 6 and their advantage? Wonderful. Says a lot about the other clubs as well. You’re almost protecting yourself from relegation & the need to invest. Got to keep on the gravy train.
  13. This is exactly it for me as well. Gave mine up under Carver, but since last season I've only been succesful in 1 ballot. As much as I love SJP, I want to be able to get to games as well.
  14. Caught a bit of their game on Saturday. If we even remotely turn up it could get very messy for them. 4-0
  15. I can almost tolerate the Ref missing them despite the obvious nature. However, VAR clearing it was utterly mind boggling
  16. Yeah, can see it. Resources between both clubs are vast and he'd get them ticking.
  17. Great performance today. Felt like we're back to our shit-housing and generally gritty performance. Hall MOTM but thought everyone was fantastic. That's the best we've been in possession all season. First half in particular we played our way out brilliantly.
  18. 3-1 win today. They'll probably dominate the ball, but the high line is there to exploite. They really struggled last season up here with Son at CF. Great player but struggles to hold onto the ball.
  19. No negativity here. Sandro back, full throttle & into these. their ridiculously high line is something we could & should exploit. 3-1. Isak, Gordon & Kelly
  20. Not sure if satire but this type of comment belongs on RTG
  21. His first full season was 1 win in 7 in the PL I think. Last season slightly better but performances were wild.
