He has leaked the Rangers, Villa and Wolves kits too, so seems genuine
-
Wonder what colour the away kit will be?
-
“Better never stops”- what’s with that shite?
-
Guess it depends on whether the consortium/new sponsors buy out the remainder of the Fun88 contract. You’d have thought it to be this summer, but it’s not necessarily the case.
-
Arsenal and Roma both very keen and have been for a while. Don’t think he’s been great this season (but could be wrong), and Gerrard wants to replace him with Sangare, Kamara or Bissouma apparently. I’d prefer one of those names too.
-
Villa are currently paying around £125k pw at the moment whilst he’s on loan. He’s supposedly on between £380-480k pw at Barca…crazy money- no wonder their finances are fucked. https://www.football365.com/news/coutinho-wage-cut-gerrard-eyes-33m-deal-barcelona

Alvarez runs him close- £14m for a player they never owned. ?♂️??

“Howe already knows Ashworth well and the pair share similar views on a range of issues, from how the game should be played to the importance of the academy. Go here for all the latest Newcastle United news Indeed, it was only last December that Howe commented that he 'highly respected Dan and his work' at Brighton, the FA and West Brom.” https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-eddie-howe-dan-ashworth-23071272.amp “Howe said: "Whatever the situation is, I can adapt and overcome. When I first came in, I said that appointing a sporting director is a matter of urgency for the club, because we need those structures that help the club improve. We have a lot of improving to do behind the scenes to get to be the club that we want to be. That’s in all areas. We want to build the club and, to do that, you need the right people and the right appointments to happen." https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-dan-ashworth-brighton-23569296.amp “Not long before Ashworth’s statement landed on Brighton’s website, Howe welcomed the appointment of a director of football. Howe, speaking ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Aston Villam explained: “I’ve been used to working with a sporting director at Bournemouth, so I would encourage that. “I believe I can work under any framework really that the club decides which way they want to go but I’ll embrace that.” Howe will be just fine with Ashworth coming in- there’s no issue there at all.

No worries. Tell her I wish her luck trying to get £50m for any player we want to let go. And to pull her finger out on getting the mega sponsorship deals signed!
-
This season they sold Torres for £50m, last year they sold Sane for £50m+, plus they are sponsored £68m per year for their stadium from Etihad. Plus the commercial revenue stream is the largest source of revenue for Manchester City. In 2020/2021, the football club earned approximately 308.2 million euros from sponsorship, merchandising, stadium tours and other commercial operations.

Old school, but Ciriaco Sforza. Rated him a lot when I was growing up. Inconsistent maybe though.

Another sad story: “A year after signing for Milan, at the age of 24, Lentini was involved in a serious car crash whilst driving home from a pre-season tournament in Genoa, in August 1993. He fractured his skull and damaged his eye socket and he spent about two days in a light coma. After the crash he never fully recovered his mercurial dribbling skills. Plagued by 'memory loss', periods of blurred vision, and 'dizzy spells' he was tormented by the spectre of what his career once was, when he returned to the pitch at the end of the 1993–94 season. His teammate at the time, Marcel Desailly, was compelled to confess that “You could see the skills, how he was before the accident and after the accident, the balance was completely different”. His career in Milan fizzled out and culminated in a European Cup medal and another Serie A title that season, but this was merely for filling the bench; a paltry return for the world's most expensive signing at the time.” (From Wiki)

Lol…where I probably enjoyed football the most and where I took most interest until lately!

Hulk, Di Maria, Pastore, Veloso, Baptista, Balotelli, Berbatov, Wilshere, Walcott, D.Luiz, Joe Cole…

The Brazil international, who has had one of the biggest impacts in the club's Premier League history in terms of a new signing, was not afraid to play down his expectations when asked by ESPN Brasil in his home country on what could be possible next season. Speaking to the channel, Bruno said: "We want to get into the top six. Fight for the Europa League, maybe for the maybe the Champions League.” "We know that it won't be overnight that you will become a top seven, you have to prove it on a daily basis, but we hope for the best. I hope we can form a great team, it will depend on the reinforcements, who will arrive, who will leave. I'm very optimistic, I hope we can fight for the Europa League, maybe Champions League." edit- also: His agent, Alexis Malalvolta, told Tutto sport, via Chronicle Live, that part of the club’s ambitious plans revealed to the Brazilian included a top four push - as soon as next season. He said: "He has always been very motivated to accept challenges, he never backs down. Bruno is delighted with the choice made; he feels good. "His goal was clear from the start: to help the team get out of the relegation zone and take them to the Champions League next season. And, why not, try to win the Premier League. He has already made it clear in his interviews that he went to Newcastle to be a legend like Alan Shearer. He wants to leave his name in the history of the club."
-
He played alongside Maxence Caqueret whom I believe is the more defensive player. Either way, the characteristics Bruno possesses with ball carrying/passing, he’d simply be wasted as a DM with us.
-
We definitely need an athletic DM to both protect our back line and assist/free Bruno. Longstaff / Shelvey / Big Jo aren’t the answer.

I don’t think Spurs are in a terrible financial situation? They have large debts due to the stadium, but are otherwise pretty healthy- certainly don’t need to be selling players. Wages to revenue is 57%, and they made £359.7million last season (a 9% year-on-year fall, but they will gain ground on the clubs above them next year when matchday revenue is factored in.). edit- just found this website… https://www.thstofficial.com/thst-news/analysis-of-tottenham-hotspur-financial-statements-2020-21

How do you know our budget? Bissoumas contract ends next summer so his price is falling. It’s also been well documented however- I can’t see us wanting to buy him until his police investigation has been completed (in his favour, obviously).
-
The issue is that the Saudis might not agree, and also our best players (namely Bruno) have been told we’ll be competing towards that aim in the next year or two and if we don’t, they’ll be wanting to leave…
