  1. Currently, he HAS to leave, doesn’t he? Out of contract and unable to sign a new one even if he wanted to with the club (even though I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want to anyway). He’ll have a pick of top clubs- a deal has probably been agreed for ages.
  2. Apart from making tens of millions of pounds via repeated ineptitude. Don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
  3. We’re more than capable of adhering to FFP at the current time, and even more so when new sponsorship deals are announced? Admittedly £15m isn’t to be sniffed at, but that would mean actually receiving those fees for those players, which I think would be easier said than done in some cases.
  4. Can see your point, but to put it bluntly, we DONT need the funds for him. A million or two doesn’t really do anything for us at this point in our ownership. We DO however need him off the wage bill and squad list.
  5. Pay a loan fee and cover the wages, and I’d let him have Hendrick
  6. Seems like Hamilton has investments also: “Both Sir Lewis, who will compete for his Mercedes team at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola this weekend, and Ms Williams, who has won 23 Grand Slams including seven Wimbledon titles, have become established investors in their own right in recent years. Serena Ventures, the tennis star's venture capital fund, this week announced an investment in Opensponsorship, a British-based sports technology start-up, while Sir Lewis has backed a range of early-stage companies such as Zapp, the London-based rapid grocery delivery app.” (From Sky News)
  7. As opposed to Serena Williams?
  8. Wants guaranteed game time else he’d stay at Arsenal. Can’t see him being our first choice striker.
  9. As opposed to wanting them slapped. Disgrace how long Bruce was allowed to get away with his shite at our club (and one or two of his mates in the press gloss over his abject failure).
  10. De Ketelaere has been told by Mignolet not to go to Newcastle… Speaking to Het Laatste Nieuws, the 21-year-old said: “Mignolet once told me that there’s not much to do in Newcastle, and that in winter, it’s dark as early as four o’clock. When you then hear Dries Mertens… (talk about Napoli).”
  11. The bid might be bs, but there are too many stories about our interest for that to be a lie, both from the UK and Portugal.
  12. Yet we allegedly bid for him in January, and plenty of rumours in the last week or two that we’ve bid again? I think it’s well known that the club like him. But equally well known that he wants CL football, hence why he’s not keen on coming to us.
  13. Far better for him to play 30-40 championship level games rather than ‘a few run arounds’ with us, then reap the benefits the following year if he’s still hitting the heights. It does neither him nor the club much benefit to not play regularly at this point in his development.
  14. He’s also on over £300k pw for a few more years yet- can’t see him taking a massive pay cut to come to us (just can’t see us paying that kind of wage just yet). More than likely off back to Italy (or Spain?) I’d have thought, given the rumours about him being in contact with Inter over a transfer.
  15. Don’t think Tarkowski will be in any discussions- he’s been distinctly average this season and no better than Lascelles.
  16. Doesn’t help that Rooney looks far older than his 36 years, mind.
  17. 4-0. Bruce will hide away in the changing rooms until Sky have gone away.
  18. Think he was actually looking to get into the box for the Crystal Palace game, but fortunately arrived early.
  19. Despite his two goals, still slow. Worrying.
  20. Good article here: https://theanalyst.com/eu/2022/01/alexander-isak-stats-overview/
  21. Agreed, but I don’t think Fergusons success rate is anything to write home about. He struck lucky with the likes of Cantona, but to say he’d automatically sign quality replacement players with money is pushing the boat a little. Every manager has shitty signings though, it seems.
