£25 million, three years at the club, 8 appearances. Bargain.
-
Probably because the defence splitting passes would be currently going to Wood, and he isn’t mobile enough to benefit. Hence we don’t need those passes NOW. We are currently playing to our limited strengths, and doing so very well, with Willock being so mobile, Joe disrupting and laying the ball off, and Shelvey spraying from deep. Once Wilson is back, and we buy another forward in the summer, then Bruno’s passing range and running forwards with the ball will be much more important to the team and the way we will play.
-
Disagree. He was decent some games but distinctly average/poor/disinterested in others.
-
I read the club took into account whether signings were jabbed or not as they might not be allowed to travel for friendlies/future Euro games etc.
-
The story supposedly goes that he was wearing a ring whilst he was climbing over a fence aged 13. He slipped and the ring got stuck on a spike with the result that the finger got ripped off.
-
Ridiculous. We’ve won our last three games. He’s new to the country, his team mates and the league.
-
Yep. And has an energy drink company running out of his bedsit.
-
Mates with Kompany. They wanted to keep him on as a coach but he had some kind of breakdown and had to return to the UK iirc.
-
I’d also take Raph and Antony ahead of Eze, but I guess the club also have to take into account current and future rules re: home grown/UK players. If we go back to times of having a UK quota again which I think has been suggested, there’d obviously be an advantage to purchasing Eze.

https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/play-off-final.1572629/ outsung by both Portsmouth and Charlton at Wembley because the Mackems “were tired”. ?

Admittedly out of the two, I’d prefer Lodi, but Tagliafico isn’t 30 until late August this year. Trippier has helped to turn the club around and he’s 31.
-
Apart from conceding them. They’ve scored the least AND let in the most.

Born in 1971. 51 today.

Shame- he would’ve been a great addition. Shows us the standard of players we’re looking to obtain though- stay up and we’ll be smiling for years and years.
-
Thankfully it’s obviously not what Howe has seen.

Out of 36, not 21, yes.

Gerrard won three out of his first four games (lost the third one to Man City) in November. He won mid Dec against Norwich, then didn’t win again until 22nd Jan against Everton. Played 13 (12 PL and 1 FAC), won 5, lost 6 and drawn 2. They’ve only won 2 out of their last 9 games.
-
Can’t recall when Gerrard arrived, but they’ve only won 3 games in total since the start of December (Leics, Norwich and Everton, all in the league). Played 11, lost 5 and drawn 3.
-
49 I think, from 417 appearances. 9 of which came in a L2 season for Rochdale and 10 in the following L1 season after they got promoted.
-
If we go by your argument about price, we should drop Shelvey (£12m was it?) rather than Willock at £25m, surely? And Big Joe at £40m would never get dropped! No…because we have to pick the best for the team, and at the moment, Howe believes the current three are a better choice than throwing Bruno in.
-
Price means that’s what we bought him for, and what he was sold for, not how much we rate him. See Trippier for £12m and Wood for £25m. For what it’s worth, I think we’ll see a change soon, but that’s simply because someone will need a break, otherwise why change a winning team just for the sake of it?
-
Price is irrelevant if someone is playing well. A change will come, whether that be form, injury, formation, suspension etc, but it’s not deserved right now to drop any of the midfield three.
