Cue the likes of Pep demanding bigger squad sizes to cope with the inevitable injuries.

You just know that it’d be us getting the blame from the MLFs for shitting on the seats and throwing empty crisp packets onto the pitch…

Release clause. But decent price, yes.

He’ll be back playing at Man Utd before long, I’m sure. He’s obviously going through a tricky time, but I doubt his time there is finished.

I think the proposed new FFP regs state that clubs will only be able to spend up to 70% of income on ‘football related’ activities. This therefore covers infrastructure also. If the proposals are accepted, there will be a leeway for the first three years (first year 90%, dropping to the 70% after the third year). The proposals haven’t yet been accepted as far as I know. However, if we are to be rebuilding, it’s clear that we either need to begin fairly quickly in order to come within the current regs, and also need to massively increase revenue (which it seems we are doing).
-
Those extra revenue streams and sponsorship are needed to allow them to spend their money, due to FFP. Under current rules and current deals for the club, they simply cannot throw money at us.

He’s on £350kpw until 26/27 so it’ll be a while yet until it gets to the position where he’s thinking of running his contract down. Given that time, why would he go elsewhere for significantly less money?
-
Sanchos wages are WELL out of our current price range (300k or 350k a week iirc?)

Dummett, Ritchie, Gillespie, Clark, Langley and M.Longstaff according to .com

We need to sell some before we start bringing in 8 players. The squad is bloated as it is, numerically.
-
Probably sign Ronaldo this coming window now, on a short term deal.

Could see Lampard jumping ship from Everton mind.

Came on as sub in Monday night's Premier League Cup home defeat to Sheffield United.

Andrey Santos is the midfielder

Centre forward/wing type. Similar to Richarlison/Neymar I think?

It does. That’s why the membership access had to be curtailed after a certain number were sold.

Gvardiol is being talked about as £75-80m starting bidding price. “As The Athletic reported in August, talks broke down because Leipzig changed the asking price. Initial discussions started over a fee worth around €70million (£60.5million), which rose to €80m and finally €90m”. https://theathletic.com/3960481/2022/12/03/chelsea-josko-gvardiol-transfer/?amp=1 Edit- rumours of a buy out clause in his latest contract of £42m, but don’t know how true or realistic that is.

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

Nah, I don’t think so. Technical ability, vision, and being able to pick a pass at most distances would see him just fine. Individual pace isn’t everything (but would obviously need some in the team to benefit from his passes). Pirlo wasn’t a sprinter. You just have to use those players to their abilities. -

At the time. I think he’d do well now. -
Just like they were when they thought PIF were going to sell us to buy Inter. Repeat ad nauseam.

Middlesborough holds 10k more (34.7k vs 25.5k). As it is, there will be 10’s of thousands of ticket holders upset at not being able to go- it’s probably best to try and accommodate as many as possible?
-
Germany was only mentioned because his brother plays for Stuttgart I think, and he might like a family member close to him after the big move.

In context, Heathrow currently has around 75m passengers per year. The Saudis want 120m. They’re going to need a big airport. Although the six runways seems a little excessive- Heathrow has two. plus status too, I guess. Much like having a Premier league/Champions league winning football team…
