He's quicker than Schar which is a good thing, especially if he is going to play on the right side. If we lined up with Tino, Thiaw, Kelly, Hall, you've got decent pace across the back line there tbf. Burn and more importantly Botman bring that pace down abit, but I still think it would take a great pass and Elite pace to bypass everyone. A good sweeper keeper makes that link up even harder.

A friend of mine, who is a Burnley fan says everything he's seen and heard is 1-0 them in 1 game and 4-1 us in another.
-
At 25mil we HAVE to be involved on this, he is class, and whoever he goes to will be getting a proper bargain.
-
He's one of the unsellables for me, would be mental, especially to another prem team.
-
Ok, now I'll be annoyed if we don't sign him.
-
Hasn't he only had a couple a very minimal knocks since his big injury?
-
Can't believe I read multiple people turning their noses up at Chiesa! . He would be an incredible signing

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season
M1tche replied to InspectorCoarse's topic in Football
He might have like to keep him, but we signed Bruno for 36 mil, and have just got 1 mil less for our 7th choice. If they want to replace, that replacement will be miles better, but I'm assuming they'll promote a youngster (not Miley) to 7th spot instead -
Before any movement happened. Most would have said the below was a pretty good window: Keep the main players New starting RW New RCB (either clearly better than Schar or capable cover with potential to be better) Non perma injured cover for Isak A Pope upgrade (if not possible a better back up than Dubs, similar to the RCB) Upgrade anyone who leaves that was likely to get minutes next season. If these 2 sales facilitate that, then we're still on track
-
Chuffed with buying a 7th choice CM? That's had a few half decent games out of nearly 50 in the prem and got about 2 assists while supposedly being more of an attacking CM? that's just saying stuff to back up your original statement. Also care to answer the 1st question. Who of a similar level has gone for more?
-
Who of a similar level has gone for more money than the 2 we've agreed to sell? If we had bought them for the prices agreed, would you be saying we've got a great deal?
-
He's 7th choice for the CM role, so if had to be sacrificed then so be it, yes he's a local lad and came through the academy, but if it was him or Miley. I'm keeping Miley every single time. We need to be ruthless to get to the next stage without break the FSR rules, and guess what, we've done exactly that!
-
And you know that for fact how?
-
Anyone stop to think that club and Minteh spoke, and he was told he'd either be loaned or that we were buying someone to play RW? Meaning he'd have either go on loan again or sit on the bench, which he didnt fancy, a bit like Palmer
-
Agreed, we would have seen less of Almiron and Murphy, had it not happened and made Europe, maybe even got our of our champs league group. How low people seem to rate Barnes is baffling
-
Why are people digging at Harvey Barnes? He was bought for 5 million more and only about 7 mill of that even counts on this years finances, so we would have needed to sell anyway. We would have had to have done zero business last summer to have not sold a player who might or might not become a really good player. That's also before you take into a account that Harvey Barnes is 1 in 4 Premier League wide man, and we haven't seen the best of him yet either
-
I'm starting to think that this is club playing a very good game, they have done everything pretty much spot on since they took over. So, for them to mess up something as simple as this would be completely baffling, the only way it makes sense if they were banking on 1 of the cases against the league to lead to a rule change that fell our way. Even then, it's a bonkers idea,
-
The reality of this is that we're getting rid of a couple of players that are very unlikely to get many minutes going forward, for a player who is better than all of our current natural options in his position. Not sure how that can be classed as a bad idea.
-
This would shock me more than Isak or Bruno tbh. I can't see anyway this deal gets done, and also dont see us entertaining it at all unless is bonkers money. 120mil bonkers
-
I think the club are playing this perfectly, we must have extra sponsorship deals lined up that would dig us out of whatever PSR hole we are in, but Man.C winning the case they have against the league could mean we could up those a bit. They'll also be wanting to drop them so they go against next year's rather than this year's. So one of these "swaps" that makes the squad a bit better as well as gets us out of said hole would be perfect, until we know how much we can potentially get away with some of the sponsorship deals.
-
It's time for Tino to take over, so if we can get what's been quoted there that would be great business.
-
The answer should just be "no deal" regardless of what's offered Can't believe a few are suggesting that there is a price this summer, Isak is key to the champions league push, if we fail I'm that and he has a similar season to last, he'll be worth even more. Which, then allows for a rebuild, if he wants to leave. I don't think he will though, I think we've got 2 seasons minimum, as long as we nab any European spot through the league or win a cup
-
37 mil is a lot, but it all depends on what money we bring in, abd how close we really are to the PSR. If 37 mil means not signing a RW or a RCB then no thanks. If its DCL for 37, plus good quailty for both of those positions, then lets do it. The money only makes a difference if it affects us signing players in other positions.
-
If he signs he'll be class, brilliant all round striker.
-
If he's not fit to take part in the bulk of pre season he'll struggle for consistency until at least Christmas. If he takes part in pre season he'll be class for us this season. Genuinely believe he's he midfielder we missed the most this season.
