  1. Maybe should have been Gordon off for a rest instead of Murphy, but sensible subs really
  2. If you have an easy pass to your main striker there, you just have to pass.
  3. Not bad considering he's not very athletic
  4. Was bricking it for him, I've always hated bringing on a player that late, just for a pen, especially after 4 months out. He must never miss I'm training.
  5. If the decision was to rest him, there's no reason for him to be on the bench. If we're losing changing a CB doesn't make much difference, any back 4 injury and Tino/Burn come on and we reshuffle

    Nick Pope

Depending on how he comes back, this Kelleher looks like he'd been a decent next GK.

    Loris Karius

I'd put him at fault for both Set Pieces tbh. 1st his reset time was very slow after the initial save. 2nd was shambolic for me, just flapped at it. I have seen nothing of him, at any point of his career to think he's any good, and clearly most clubs think the same. As he's sat with us as 3rd choice, with no-one else wanting him.

    Loris Karius

Not sure how that makes any difference to what I said
  9. Am I the only 1 that didn't think the whole game was THAT bad. Liverpool was atrocious for me, this was nowhere near that. They came out on fire for 25 mins and we were terrible, but then got a bit of a grip, it didn't make a dent. 2nd half we had a mad 5 mins, but had much more of a grip on the game. You have to take into account teams are barely having shots on target against Arsenal atm, they're just in great form.
  10. The whole back 4 lacks pace, when I was managing I always tried to set with pace in every other position. So if my RB was quick the LCB would have to be the quicker of the 2 CBs. We don't have that luxury unfortunately. He had a higher ceiling the Schar in my mind, so getting in a pacey RCB and LB should be priority in the summer.
  11. It's a mixed, ones like Pope, Burn, Anderson, Murphy, Barnes Are all freak injuries. Even Willocks initial one and Joelinton aren't really normal injuries from fatigue.

    Loris Karius

The difference between the 2 is that Dubravka makes a few saves that wouldn't expect him to make, and then Karius let's in a few that you'd expect him to save. Dubravka's biggest problem is we're now disappointed he's not making the great saves that Pope would make.
  13. Agreed, and without a keeper that sweeps up well the defence will play 10/20 yards making that gap even bigger and this midfield less capable of getting back. Give Willock or Joelinton 5 yards to make up when tracking, I'm backing them a lot of the time. Give anyone 10-20 they've got no chance.
  14. Our midfield has become an issue for 2 reason. Firstly, only 1 of them can consistently receive the ball in any situation, Longstaff isn't good enough to do it and never will be and Miley is just too weak due to age. Secondly, they're incredibly 1 paced, no-one has any type of recovery pace or the pace to drive through the lines and cause a problem. Having Willock back changes that, but he still won't start for a few weeks.

    Loris Karius

Commanded his box? they put every set piece into the 6 yard box. He came off his line well for a few long balls, but in every other part of his game you can see why he's 3rd choice.
  16. Can see why he started, the plan was to try and stay in the game and then try to create him a moment, unfortunately Arsenal started stupidly well and the game was gone before we got even close to that
  17. The back 4 has been exposed for a number of weeks now, that massive gap between them and the midfield is the problem.

    Loris Karius

Not a good GK, kicking is as bad as Popes, and he doesn't seem to hold anything. Made a few saves, but they were pretty much straight at him.

    Joe Willock

Showed in that short spell what we've missed, powerful running on and off the ball and isn't scare to keep if it there is no pass on. Great to see him back. Hopefully no more break downs.
  20. A rare off day, these things happen.
  21. I thinknl he got it wrong today not going with a back 5, but some of the efforts levels today were shocking. Having Willock back is massive because he does thing none of the current 3 can do. Him Bruno and Miley should be the main 3 until other come back.
  22. He's effort levels for shocking today.

    Dan Burn

Came on did OK once Arsenal took off all their starting attackers. Should he have started, yes. In a back 5 though, to defend the threat from set pieces, still don't want him back at LB over Tino
