  1. We monitoring this cunt now?
  2. If we end up with Botman and Diego Carlos
  3. I think the "Premier league experience" quip is so outdated in the sense that people deem players flops, they go away, come back to play for another team in other systems and the player suddenly plays well when used correctly. In this case I think we need a proper mentalist to push on the rest of the team and rope it in, regardless if that player has so-called PL proven antics
  4. Honestly, as tinfoilhat as that sounds. I am still in the camp of refs being overly nice to the teams we are playing. Its probably confirmation bias from us all, but damn some of the calls after the takeover has been out of this world
  5. Fair enough that, I mean some people are going a bit far in dreaming about what we can get as we stand right now. But we all want the best for us and stay up and if he is the man to lead the line and able to wrangle some players away from 3 marking ASM he will have done the job until Wilson comes back or we nab someone else down the line. If we end up with Wood as the only striker we bring in though, that is something that is very worring. But crossing everything I have for him to just smash it and flip me the bird while scoring against Watford
  6. This is sorta the thinking I have too. I would want to believe that most of us arnt seeing us going out and getting no Superstriker (TM) - But one must be allowed to write caution about how it will pan out. And everyone has said the same that they hope he will make us eat our words. I want him to fucking smash it and score free and pump us up. But I feel like he wont, and we can all look at goal scoring records all we want and pick out the Woods and other double figure strikers either way. But looking at how he has performed up until now in a team suited for his play and being worried on that fact should not be seen as twattish or deluded. Its observation based on what we get fed. I mean people could go pick out Dennis as an example of someone having a abysimal record outside PL, coming in and doing work etc. I do understand that we are in desperate need and it is a numbers game, but not being able to question it without being a twat or a deluded guy is a bit OTT.
  7. The thing that worries me the most is paying 25 million for someone who is playing in a team that plays to his strengths, and its not working out and thats one of the reasons they are in the predicament they are this season. Now, of course it might just be different when he comes here, but lets be honest. There is only two players ready that are better than what Burnley have and one of them is a form player. The rest of the squad is if not as terrible but even worse than some of the players they have at their disposal playing to his style. Now that part is what worries me. I get that they might want to go the experience route and all that jazz. But people could be looking at Gayles record and say the same "Look he can score goals!". It is a scary signing to make that reeks of panic and desperation. I hope it pays off, I really worry it wont.
  8. I truly hope I am proved wrong, but this feels like a panic dud imo. He has been ultra gash this season and its not like we are playing a style fit for lumping it up to tall man.
  9. 20 million, I feel like Burnley is getting a way too good of a deal here
  10. Based on my experience with him in FM, sign the lad up
  11. I will admit that I knew nothing of him until I googled when we gave him the job for the window. But it didnt really give me the confidence either, and now the first winnable game is getting closer and we are stuck with the same squad that couldnt beat a league 1 team. Feeling way more nervous in the bad way rather in the good we can smash them way.
  12. For all their prep and research/work before this window - its been a lot of linking to all sorts of players, and almost no meat. What gives I wonder.
  13. 0-3 coming in hard. Shelvey with one of his Shelvey special assists alĂ  no look pass.
  14. Yes as you can tell by our experienced players, a League 1 team can hold them off.
  15. The feeling, and i repeat the feeling I have, is that for all the biggup talk and being ready for the window with clear targets and such. It truly feels like we have barely been in contact with anyone bar Trippier before the window even started. That is what worries me. I would have thought that they have had a clear list of targets to go after, perhaps touched base with agents and the club it self. But it feels like its kinda winging it based on what comes up next. Now, they might just be taking the piss and have like 3 players ready to sign, just waiting for some paperwork or anything, but going in to this watford gaming with the side that lost to a league 1 side, does not really fill me to the brim with any confidence
  16. I am in semi-blown meltdown - cause the shit squad we have cant even beat a league 1 team. EDIT: No, but seriously. This is an intense period for us. There is winnable games coming up, and if we get going now there is quite the chance of being able to save this season and not need to go down with our overpayed dross and try to peddle it. Think about it this way. These weeks literally define if we are going to stay up or not. I have no faith at all in the 11 bar Wilson and Trippier. I said it before as well. I believe we need 6 signings minimum to be able to stay up, and that was before an 8 week injury that really hampered our chances.
  17. I honestly think they should just fuck off with keeping "squad harmony" with the wage structure. What we have is performing dogshit, pay someone to do it better, if they whine, tell them to fucking do better.
  18. Im not so sure less risky is what you are looking for, he is playing utter garbage with a garbage team, at least the strikers outside this "PL proven" bullshit bubble seems to want to prove themselves and give it all even in a so called "lesser" league. Rather chance them then someone that cant do it for our relegation rivals. How the hell is he gonna do any better for us?
  19. He might not be, but he is way more worth the chance than an old shitter from Burnley, Also he didnt really get the chance at Inter so thats just silly.
  20. If we spunk those 17 million on Woods instead of Barbosa...
  21. This is the same feeling I get. And its an easy job when you can just stick 3 on him cause the rest of our players are so fucking bad that you can let them just walk in to other players
  22. I've been preaching this for so long, yet people seem to big him up. I have no idea why or how. I get that his 1/10 hollywood passes can create chances, but honestly. is that worth keeping him in the midfield when he has no work ethic, no pace, no tackling ability, terrible marking, terrible interception and his reluctance to move with or without the ball.
