Just saw the replay again there and Mike Dean actually looks over to see both players down and he just ignores it. Cunt.

Mistakes aside I don’t hate how we’ve played, they’re just a million times better. A bigger worry is we don’t look in any way organised at the back and I’m struggling to see how we’ll get some upset wins that we’ll likely need to stay up.

Maybe I’m interpreting wrongly but you could make a case they’re both as bad as each other. Lascelles wins slightly more duels, Clark is slightly more progressive. Both awful going off that data.

I’d be surprised if it was Gayle unless they bring someone else in as he’s the only other forward. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Clark, Hendrick, Longstaff (given his contract), Murphy moved on if they can ship them out.

That would be a massive acquisition and a hell of a message if we could get it done early.

I also really like him but he’s been shite. I don’t think he gets the credit he’s deserved in the past but I can’t see a reasonable argument to have him in over Fernandez at the minute.

Saw him described as a luxury we can’t afford today. Absolute madness. He’s been one of our most important players for the last year or so, he’s the most talented in the squad and offers us something others can’t and people are starting to turn on him. Bizarre. Saw a standard PFM fan comment about how he doesn’t track back enough. I’m guessing it’s the same people who didn’t rate Ben Arfa as well if he didn’t win a game on his own.

Still absolutely livid VAR spent about 10 minutes looking at our blatant penalty against Norwich yet the most obvious dive I’ve seen to win one against us since Salah wasn’t even looked at. I’m not claiming an agenda or VAR being the problem here rather the standard of refereeing is absolutely awful at times.

Think this is worth quoting again. I think people forgot how good Leicester can be and although they had a bit of help from decisions and us they capitalised. We are going to have to get some unexpected points if we’re going to survive at some point though.

Haven’t really followed him at all but has Soumare done much for Leicester since he signed? We wanted to blast £30m on him at one point.

Don’t even remotely think it would be possible but Martial on loan in January would be absolutely unreal.

I think it’s dead easy to look at his goal stats and decide he was a good player for us but he went completely missing in games. Even when Benitez was here he was shocking and ended up being dropped in a relegation run in. For what it’s worth I think he’s a top class player but he isn’t a player you want when you’re scrapping for your lives. He’s proven that before.

Probably unpopular given his form this season but I don’t really think there’s any difference at all between Lascelles and Mings. Mings has more of a Bramble error in him that’s plagued his whole career for me as well. Mings has benefitted from having some really solid players around him whereas Lascelles hasn’t had as much of that luxury. Konsa is Villa’s best cb by miles.

Law with a clear agenda here for whatever reasons. Edwards jumping on the any bit of negativity straight away too. Shame he wasn’t like that when his pal was here.

Just watched Howe’s post-match interview on motd. This guy is night and day in comparison to Bruce. Positive, talking up our players and focussed on improving them. I’m totally behind him and haven’t felt like this since Rafa.
