Can remember when loads of pundits were rambling on about why we weren’t questioning Benitez when we had that poor start to the season. Annoyed watching Burley v Sheffield United. Both teams quite obvious lack real quality, less than us. Yet both of them have a very clear structure, game plan and shape. Everything we don’t have and you can’t blame the players for it.

The Pardew over Bruce argument seems like recency bias to me. The place we’re at with Bruce at the minute lasted seasons with Pardew. We had a good squad that he ruined and took the piss with, Ben Arfa particularly.
