Just seen the clip of him fronting up to the fans outside the stadium on his own. Im sure we miss that sort of character behind the scenes.

Pretty straight forward situation in my opinion. Club aren’t going to get rid. You either get behind a manager who’s saved us from relegation, two Champions League campaigns and a cup win in 4 years or try and hound him out. Don’t think anyone is saying the football hasn’t been shit, results haven’t been awful and Howe doesn’t take blame. But he’s being backed by the ownership to turn it around so for me deserves full support from fan base to at least try.

Needs the fan base rounding behind him in my opinion then.

I’m sort of torn on Gordon going. I don’t think he gets the credit he deserves and I don’t think people understand what he brings to the team. That said im fully of the opinion that if someone doesn’t want to be we need to move them on. Bayern would be a good move for all parties if he wanted to leave. Also after talking to @HawK (I think it was) about the 4-3-3 formation in comparison to how it’s worked successfully for other clubs - he was right. That front 3 needs to be firing for the formation to work. The comparison was Liverpool when they dominated in that system. Literally none of our wingers or forwards are doing enough numbers. Murphy isn’t assisting as much, Barnes’s goals, none of the forwards are consistent or are completely shit. Gordon is the most sellable asset and we need some sort of rebuild. I also don’t think he creates enough or adds enough goals to justify building that front 3 around. Short version I guess is if we sold Gordon for a decent fee. Got a replacement and kept say Tonali I don’t think it’d be the end of the world despite liking him as a player.

He also battered Arsenal in the semi-final meaning we went on to win the cup.

I’m not even sure what we do with that RW position for the end of the season. Elanga seem levels below he was last year and Murphy has been a liability. I’m not even sure you can go back to shoe horning Barnes back there if Gordon wants to he away.

For all I think he should have started I can sort of see why Osula stayed on after scoring. I just think it’s insane given how poorly we’re playing not having the only forward capable of creativity not starting.

I thought he’d be a canny signing but it’s not looking like he’ll come good in this system. Basics have left him completely. All of those “proven” Premier League wingers that moved for £50m last summer have all looked like bad value for various reasons - Him, Kudus, Madueke.

Weird how some of you seem to enjoy this like it’s pathetic as fuck.

Honestly the repeated hope crushing gut punches this season has been almost unprecedented. We’ve been shitter. We’ve had worse teams and managers. Don’t remember a season with as many moments that make you sick as fuck.

Just low confidence and the opposite effective momentum can bring after a poor set of results. I do think we lack real leaders on the pitch when things get rough. It’s even more noticeable when Bruno isn’t there.

I don’t think you can defend it. It’s fucking shit. We need a few players out and a few in this summer.

Would go Wolte for Osula and Murphy for Elanga and try and get some balls in the box. If Bruno is fit for minutes get him on asap. There’s still something in the game for us I think - I know that doesn’t fit the negativity at the minute but if we score early I think we’ll go on to win regardless of how typical that first half performance has been.

If not for some of the fluked last minute goals we conceded we’d been much higher in the table too.
