I think we’re being a bit harsh with that ball through the middle. It’s Barcelona. I don’t think the positions were that bad especially considering the minutes on the clock. They’re just really good at finding those balls. Compare it to the City game for example…

I liked that version of him last night. He used his pace and just put the ball into an area early. It doesn’t have to be perfect but made them have to deal with it. If he continues like that he’ll be alright.

They’ve been fucking shit every time I’ve seen anything from them this season. They’re a solid, well organised unit and that’s where it ends. They’re lucky the whole league is playing this long ball, set piece style.

I really like him and given his age I think there’s a good chance he becomes a top level player - there’s too many glimpses of quality. Eddie has mismanaged him I feel though. He’s fucking shite in midfield and playing him v City there was either naive or career assassination (I don’t actually believe this) I get he doesnt suite Howe’s usual system so then change it once you’ve realised it doesn’t work. If/when we lose to Barca the rest of the season needs to be focused on getting him back up front and finding ways to get Gordon/Barnes beyond him on the wings. Wissa isn’t a future here but there needs to he some sort of concerted effort to see if Wolt can be.

I honestly couldn’t give a shit about the charges. Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea have all spent ungodly amounts of money and none have been consistently one of the best teams in the league like City under Pep. I’ll be pleased when he leaves.

On current form I don’t think Pope saves that Zirkzee shot, probably not the Yoro header either. For balance I don’t think he would be working as hard to get out do the way of the Casemiro goal either mind as he’s more stationary compared to Ramsdale’s sort of Pickford style. Both shite.
