Been one of his biggest critics over the course of the season but didn’t realise his goal tally was so high. Which is impressive given his lack of starts and the fact he doesn’t seem to get the same grace period other wingers have got out of form. Wondering if it’s worth just persisting with him as the first team LW given we lack goals across the team. Although I imagine we’ll try and replace Gordon with someone of comparable standard.

I thought we played decent. The first half an hour we controlled the game like rarely seen us do this season. I hope we line up sort of the same in the next game after another weeks working on it. im absolutely fucking sick of this season and these late sucker punches that have become customary for us. You usually get a couple of them a season and we’ve had these morale crushing goals at pivotal times every month. Some of it is definitely bad luck but there’s clearly a mentality issue. The squad needs a real refresher in the summer though or we’ll see exactly the same again.

Not really shocked at the type of clubs after him because he’s that level on his day. I’ve said it already but it’s probably the right move for all parties. He seems to want a move. A section of fans have wound themselves up about him enough that he’s the scapegoat. If we can get a good fee for him but most importantly quickly giving us time to reinvest I think we’ll come out of this well.

100% the correct decision. Whether he manages to turn things around is up for debate but he deserved the opportunity to try. I can see it going either way to be honest. Fingers crossed we back him early and hit the ground running next season.

Mostly nice just to get a win in one of those games that could have easily gone the way so many have this season. Im still concerned about that team selection and even more so by Howe doubling down with those quotes above. You could argue he’s been vindicated but I’m starting to worry a bit. See what the summer brings.

Been the most ardent Howe defender of late but if we lose today there’s not much you can say with some of those choices.

I absolutely hate playing Brighton any time but Joelinton, Bruno and Tonali starting together potentially has got me feeling hopeful.

I want to believe he isn’t as shit as I’ve seen with my own eyes but it’s a stretch.

It’s not really that hard. His stats were great last season and he’s took the piss out of us a couple of times when we played Forest. However he’s continued to take the piss since he’s got here. On paper and the eye test he looked like an Howe type of winger that would fit into the system but it just hasn’t worked bar an odd random game here and there. I don’t doubt he’s better than what he’s shown here but I can’t see him being a level of winger that’s required to operate at a level we need if we want to be one of the best teams.

Would play him LW for the rest of the season. Hes got to show Bayern he’s good enough to compete with Diaz. If he’s shit it could scupper his move.
